Be on your A game when backing to dock here! Fyi .. Required to Disconnect and pull to side yard after docking! WHY? Cause there is Zero room in front to sneak opast a connected Truck!. Sadly, They seem to call A Few trucks at the same Time to dock, this is where patience Comes in !. Wait for each to Slowly wiggle in, disconnect and bt out. Your Time to shine is near!.. Room side to side between docks is Good, can open doors if lined up ok!, it's the Forward distance (there is a concrete Angled upgrade you'll b staring at, calculate your angle). Tandems Full Forward . After lined up, Then you can dolly down disconnect and BT to Wait n Wait, n Wait !.. Biggest Problem Site is on your Left, Can't Pull in till your Called (no room, lots o trucks "I counted 9 lined up on street"). The boggle is you enter with facility on your left, NO Parking on Right side of road (signs every 50'). Now the Fun!.. Street is Dead End, No room to flip around !. Gotta b Creative Now!.. NEXT: Day Cabs !.. They get loaded and unloaded quickly, problem ! THEY DO NOT DISCONNECT!.. Next, they will Pull right Past or In Front if you while docking, to Slide into your Buffer MT Dock ! Yep, thought it was semi easy! That was 15 seconds ago !.. Add employee 2 wheeler traffic and pedestrians !.. My 2c = Stay about 10' from dropped trailers, Jacknife towards hole, Your gonna grab a bit of Angle Up Concrete, and your gonna think , what? ..Its ok, Throttle in, Your pass side will Rise, your Cab will fight you, But it's Normal. Watched many a Driver try to avoid the Angle up, (was there watching for 9 hrs, so yep ).. And the 20 Pull ups, Repositioning and Goals to avoid it, just delays everyone! (Not that it matters, Cause once Docked ? It's just a Reefer Fuel Burn for hours!.. U Now Know !.. dont say I didn't give a lil insite !.. Go with Zero Expectations, Plan your Atlanta Parking and HOS accordingly !.. Or you'll b Screwed !.. Plan for them to b less than diligent for Your Time!.. Just Saying : This is a public Broadcast Message, Prepare to be Unimpressed!.. now BACK to your...
Read moreHad 6am appt got here at 0545 trucks were getting doors so freed up spaces on the road. Walked paperwork to guard Shack , and he directed me to the receiving office all the way at the other end of the building. Look for the red stairs. Got a door in right away. and this is a Monday. Door spacing isn't tight. You can open doors backed in the door, just not a lot of room up front chain link fence and an upward slope of concrete. But you unhook and park in the street next to the fence. Backing is TIGHT, especially if backing in between 2 other trailers. Fast unload normal lumper fee not as bad as its pertraide in previous reviews. The lack of room in front is the only thing that really sucks. 1 more thing, the street it's on, dead ends, no place legal to turn around. There is a concrete barrier at the end of the road blocking it off so you can't turn around. There is a business on the right-hand side that is marked private property all over, sure a lot of trucks turn around on their property. It is better to park on the road before you get to the Quirch Food entrance and then walk up paperwork. Seems like a lot of trucks park here for...
