Appointment at 11:30am and after 3h of waiting still no door. I go to the office to check what’s going on and after calling someone I’ve been told they are working on it. Two hours later I go back, shift has changed, new people, they call someone and I’ve been told that they are still working on it. I ask for a supervisor, but I’m being told to go to the building next door 1700. I go there ring the door but nobody comes. I go and talk to a driver who’s waiting to get loaded. He’s been here for 9h. Someone comes out and tells me they had a forklift driver that’s new and that’s why it’s slowly moving everything. I’m being promised I’ll be next. 6:30 I get in the empty dock. I go in and give them the paperwork with load info. 30 min later nothing happens. Shift is changing in the warehouse. Finally I talk to a young lady who seem to be in charge. She has no idea what is going on with my load. I ask for a supervisor. He’s gone home for the day. I get Dimitri’s # and call him. Surprisingly he picks up the phone. I explain the situation and he promises to find out and call me back. He does and tells me that I will be loaded soon. 7:30pm the young lady comes out and informs me that they had some issues with the load, now they have to get another trailer with a new load from the factory next door. 8:00 they bring the trailer with the load. Hopefully it’s mine. 9:30 they start loading me. Finally loaded 10:30pm!!! Thumbs up for the young lady who was at least very nice! Same with the off duty shift manager. The management here have lots of work to do, to improve the situation. It’s unacceptable to have some for 7-9h wait...
Read moreI arrived at 10:45 for my 10:30 a.m. appointment. I didn't get to clean out my refer trailer as good as I wanted to due to previous load taking longer than expected to unload. I got back there with my Milwaukee Leak blower and gave trailer a quick blow out, floor looked a little dirty to me, let's see if they say anything? I did the park on the street and walk to check in(Thanks to the Reviews here, glad I read them before arriving), could be a real bad day if you pull in here and they tell you to turn around and go back out! No room to flip a biotch and definitely not backing outta here once you pull in!!! But I checked and lady said back into door 5, a little tight but BAD DUDE like myself backed in no problema! It's 11:18 and waiting to feel this trailer start a Jigglin! It's Raining which made driving here from McDonough Georgia extra fun. I think I'll take a nap!(Anytime I hop into sleeper for a nap while loading or unloading, that's when crew takes 30 minutes to get you done) So remember that boys and girls, if you want your Shipper/Receiver to hurry up??? Lay down for nap, start cooking a meal in your cab, also works if I decide to walk to nearby cafe or store... Works 9 times outta 10, try it,...
Read moreReally slow load. They began loading immediately, but it felt like they only loaded one or two pallets every 30 minutes. Our appointment was for 19:30. We called ahead and was told we could come as early as 17:00 (but no earlier due to space constraints). We arrived at 17:15 and they began loading promptly. However we were not done until 20:15. I can't help but to wonder if we would have been better off waiting until our appointment time...
This lot is very tight. I witnessed an accident while I was sitting at my load dock. I was not surprised to see this happen. One truck took off another trucks bumper while simultaneously ripping off his own trailer door. Personally I was okay with the tight quarters.
The worst part about this facility was how heavy they loaded me. Loads are so heavy that there is very little room for adjustments. There is a good chance that the driver will have to return to the facility to get the load reworked causing delays. The QuikTrip down the street has a CAT scale. Use it. They only get 3 stars...
