I am sad to write this review because my initial experiences back in 2014 when I bought my vehicle at Dempsey were super favorable, but all my service experiences the past couple years have not been. The most recent two especially so. I brought my car in for a repair and for recall work. I dropped the car overnight the night before because they are 40 minutes from my house and their service department closes at 5. I have an extended warranty through a different company, so I sent them my information via email and had my husband follow up to be sure they got it. They had. We did not hear anything about our repair when it got to be early afternoon, so we called and were told that the part was not available until the following day, but my car would probably be ready the next day. It wasn't a major repair, so pretty frustrating that the car was going to take 2 days when we hoped and expected one, and that we had to call them to find out. The following day, I had to call again to get an update and was told my car would be ready (not sure why they didn't call to inform me of the status, but they didn't). I picked up my car but had to wait for them to get verification of payment from the warranty company when I picked it up, so I had to sit for about twenty minutes to wait for that to be done. I've never had that happen before, usually just go in and the warranty portion of the entire process is done. Previously Dempsey had replaced the entire rear taillight assembly for us under warranty. When we were driving home from this latest repair, my husband noticed that this assembly again had water in it. When we got home, he looked at it up close to verify water in the taillight. He called the next morning and was told the taillight was under warranty from their repair and that they'd have to order the part. Surprisingly, the part came in fairly quickly and they called to let me know it was in. I made the appointment to bring it in. I dropped it off and left it there with their staff overnight for a next day repair. The next day they call me and say they can't perform the warranty repair because there's a crack in the assembly, asked me if I had gotten hit. I hadn't been hit, and the light is recessed from the bumper which had absolutely no damage to it, so there is no way that someone could have hit me. My husband talked to their service manager who said that there was a crack and that it looked like it was hit from above. Ok, a few days prior when my husband noticed that the light had water in it, there was no damage, when we dropped the car off, there was nothing, but suddenly when they go to perform a warranty repair, all of a sudden there's a crack and a break at the top of the light. They then tell me they'd be willing to provide the part to us at their cost ($700+!) and of course charge us labor....so what should have been a free warranty repair, that went into their facility with no breaks or cracks (I SHOULD have taken pictures of it when I dropped it off!), ended up costing me almost $1000 out the door. SO not cool! I had planned on paying off this vehicle and then in the next year or so purchasing another vehicle from them, but not only will I NOT buy a car from them again, I will never bring in any of my vehicles for repair to this facility. My last two experiences with them has been less than ideal, and this last one left me feeling like I was completely screwed. Someone who used to work there had called me when they left and warned me not to bring my car back there, and I should have listened. I'm sure they will come back and say that they can't return a part they repair under warranty with a break like my taillight assembly had in it, but I can guarantee you that IF there was a break, it was not broken when the vehicle was dropped off to them. I'm not sure which the biggest mistake I made was, not taking a picture of my car when I dropped it off for repair or trusting Dempsey Dodge to do right by their clients and to keep client vehicles safe in their lot. SO...
Read moreHorrible Suggest Going Else Where it all started when we looked at a car. We agreed to a price with the sales manager and then while with the finance department while reading the final paperwork we found the price jumped up by 2 grand. Then we told the finance manager he had the wrong address and proceeded to put the correct address on the second set of documents. he then stated oh well Iâm not fixing it I will just send a note with the paperwork to the bank. It only gets worse from there after picking up the car and getting it home we noticed the TPMS (Tire Pressure Mentoring System) was showing the tries where 15 P.S.I lower on the left side of the car compared to the right side. we adjusted the tire P.S.I and come to find out the pulling to the right was even worse the what we asked them to fix as part of the terms when we bought the vehicle. Next, we took it to the dealer to get it fixed and reported what I had found and we got nothing but attitude even thou the alignment was several off. Next, we have gone back 3 times to have them look at the radio that does not work or powers off on its own and were told they cannot find a problem even thou there are several recalls on these radios. So, they ordered the radio and 3 weeks later we called to check on the parts we were told it was ordered. we asked is it on back order and were told NO. then we called back a week later and were told they are tracking it. Both times they stated they would call us back and they never did. So, we called back again and the parts guy told me after snickering that is on order and now is on back order. We called back a week later and asked to talk to the store manager and explained the problem. We were told the people we talked to previously were wrong and he would have the parts manager call us back in the morning. Still waiting for a call. So, I would not even go to this dealer for anything they are horrible. I only gave 1 star because this site makes you
UPDATE !!!!!!!!!! After talking to the manager on staff last Saturday and while waiting for him to call us back after checking he went and checked with the parts department to see what was going on. we called two other local dealerships. Both of these dealerships told us that the radio is it available and not on backorder and they could have it in stock within 2 to 3 days from Monday when they Place their order. I also explain to one of the competitors that we had just purchased this vehicle and purchase the extended 7 year warranty and they stated that they can probably guarantee two days because of the warranty and they would mark it vehicle down with Dodge. The manager at Dempsey called us back and told me they don't know why it's on backorder but it's on backorder. I explained to him that I called two area dealership who guaranteed me they could have that radio in stock and at their location in 2 to 3 days if they place the order on Monday. the manager at Dempsey call me back I explained to him that two of his closest competitors guaranteed me they could have that radio in stock and be ready to install in a vehicle within 2 to 3 days. This is when the manager on staff proceeded to tell me that there was no way they could guarantee that and they were just telling me what I wanted to hear. Manager at Dempsey then went on to explain that he would have the parts manager call me on Monday after investigating what happened and let me know an ETA of when the parts would be in. I Never received a call from any of the managers that stated they were going to call me back and then finally on Wednesday one of the parts Personnel called me back to let us know put the parts were in. I find this rather odd that after two months of waiting for a radio that was supposed to be on order after I explained that I went to their nearest competitor they come up with a radio that was on a critical back order and didn't know how long it was going to take to get and they have it in the same amount of time that the local competitors stated from the get-go...
Read moreWhen you think of a sleazy car salesman, think of this place. Stay far away from this place as they lie and waste your time. I was looking for a car and found two with great low mileage which looked great in the pictures. I called the dealership to inquire if they were both available to see. The phone continued to ring repeatedly and then I was hung up on. I dropped it and moved on. After a few minutes, they stalked me and called me back (I was unable to leave a message so I didnât plan on them calling me back), I received a phone call from the dealer and spoke with Jesse E. Shocked that they called me back, Again, never provided a number. I asked her if the two cars that I was interested in were available. She replied yes and to please come in to see them as they would be âworthwhileâ. It was 3:30 pm and the dealership closed at 5:00 pm. I stated that I lived over 50 miles away and wasnât sure that we could make it in time. Again, she asked me to come and see the cars. She then told me that it would be worth my time as they have a lower tax rate to make up for the lengthy drive. However, you pay sales tax based on where you live. A dealership should know that and not use that to entice people to come in. I agreed to come see the cars and she replied that they were available. I arrived at 4:18 pm at the dealership and spotted one of the cars. The pictures did not accurately reflect the condition of the car. The car had sun damage, scratches, a hole from a bullet or BB gun, and the front windshield had been replaced but a shotty job was done. My husband and I walked away and a salesperson quickly came out. We shared that we had an appointment with Jesse E. He never allowed us to meet her. RED FLAG!!! He walked us into a backroom and wanted all our information before we could look at any cars. RED FLAG!!! I sadly had to spell my first name-Nicole-- to him twice. RED FLAG!!! He then came back with an iPad with my cell phone number (which I didnât give to him). I gave him a home number. RED FLAG! He shared that he would bring both cars into the warehouse for us to see. We told him not to bring in the one car that we already looked at in the lot. It was TOO damaged. He disappeared and left us sitting there for a while. He was walking back and forth so my husband and I knew something suspicious was going on. He came to say that he was trying to locate the car. We saw the car parked in the warehouse against the wall. He disappeared again and brought back his general manager to tell us that the car had been sold. How was a car sold in an hour when we were the ONLY people in the dealership? No apology for wasting our time and 100 miles of gas. We left. Jesse E. responded by text (again I never gave her my phone number--she just stalked it) saying that a customer was there earlier that day and just came back to finalize it. NOBODY else was there--only us. Also, If someone had come in to purchase it, she had my number to call or text me even though I never gave it out! STAY AWAY! I came home and the car was still listed on their website. Do your job and update your system to reflect the inventory...
