We have expressed on multiple occasions our frustration regarding expired food. Tonight, I had a cashier laugh and say, "you mean there's more" and proceeds to laugh. I'm baffled at the lack of acknowledgement and concern he exhibited. The key holder did nothing to address or rectify our complaint. The cost of goods are a struggle for most in today's economy. The response, we are short handed, doesn't explain why you would knowingly stock expired food and feel good about selling it to your customers. On a positive note, the aisles were free of stock and clean. The current manager works hard and I believe he has rallied a team to get it in the best visual shape as possible. I visit this location because of the convenience. On most occasions I would give the team a 5 star review. But the keyholder and new cashier did a poor job tonight. All we can do is our best when handling sensitive and valid concerns. Belittling and not hearing what the customer has to say is unacceptable. To be acknowledged would have gone a long way in this particular situation. I hope to continue to see the stores merchandise shelved and not a trip hazard. I hope that the food is edible and doesn't cause someone to become ill. I hope that Dollar General will offer proper training to it's employees. I hope they will get the proper hours alotted to a location that is in desperate need of it. Not just for their customers but for their team. Remember they are representing...

I’ve never been so angry in my life since when did dollar general start closing 10-15 mins early ? Read moreI feel so bad for the employees... they're holding this store together the best they can. Very friendly and seem to know just about everyone that comes through their doors. This is a new, larger location than the one they had across the street, but the out-of-stock items pretty much erase the benefits of having a larger store. It's hard for them to do any stocking with only one or two employees working, and it can be very hard to shop there with empty shelves and carts full of merchandise blocking the aisles.
I still come here regularly because it's by far the closest store to our neighborhood, but man this location would be making so much more money if they could give even a few more hours to employees in order to stock and clean up the aisles and parking lot.
