There doesn't seem to be a great selection of items, but it's okay if you need something basic and don't want to go all the way to Lubbock to find it; the downside is that the prices are a bit higher...pretty much par for the course for Littlefield. But the reason I give this store two stars instead of three, is due to the employees. I used to be a cashier and bagged groceries, so I know not to place chemicals in with food and to keep items that need refrigeration (or go in the freezer) separate from the items that don't need refrigeration, unless asked to just bag it all together by the customer. I guess the folks who bag at this store either are not properly trained or just disregard what they have been trained...or they're trying to save bags. Most of the time, I re-bag my items and end up using even fewer bags, than the person who initially bagged them. But today just pissed me off! The cashier decided that because I did not enter my phone number for the store's rewards program, I did not know my phone number and began treating me, like an idiot. She didn't even ask or say, "I remember you from yesterday...still no rewards number?" She just assumed that I was too stupid to enter my number. She continued to treat me in the same manner, instructing me what to do with the card processor...I can read, I've been using credit/debit card processors since I was sixteen. I was not having difficulty using the processor. I really do not appreciate being treated this way, it is lousy customer service. United should consider retraining many of those who bag and some of the cashiers. I think that I will be one of those who shops in Lubbock, rather than at this store if this is how United's employees are allowed to treat and talk...
Read moreI've been shopping here for the last 5 - 10 years and they should really just quit the whole "rewards" program. The effort you have to put into actually getting rewards credit for your purchases, coordinating your shopping, and trying to have an empty 25 gallon gas tank at the end of each month, simply isn't worth the measly few dollars saved. Their gas prices are often higher than nearby competitors anyway, nullifying the entire effort. The app fails to work regularly, so you can't even get the discounts advertised, which amounts to false advertising! I went to the manager today and asked if I could get the discounts the old fashion way (printed coupons) because the app once again wasn't working. His answer was basically sorry I can't help you. Another thing that's really aggravating is how easy it is to check out without getting the purchase credit towards your rewards. One time this happened so I asked them to fix it and the manager came over and applied $1 credit toward the purchase, when I said that's not what I asked for, they took it off. Basically they stole my rewards and I left with no rewards and no credit towards rewards for that purchase. The incompetence of the management at this location...
Read moreMy wife went in to mail a package through fed-ex at the service counter. The manager in the small office was extremely rude. When she asked if he could help her, he simply leaned back in his chair, crossed his legs and said," when someone is available, she will come help you." When the woman walked up he snickered and asked her if she was supposed to be working behind the counter! United has always hired very nice people that care about customers but NOT at LITTLEFIELD! Awful management and customer service. They lost all of our...
