March 17th we purchased a recliner and couch combo, a leather recliner, and a mattress. We scheduled delivery to our new home for April 4th. When they for delivery, they forgot the mattress, and tore the couch. When I called to inform Mr Owen what happened, he blamed the workers for the mattress, and tried to blame me for the couch. They came to deliver the mattress on April 6th, and pick up the damaged couch. They offered to swap the matching couch and recliner for a cheaper smaller set, which we refused. They then told us that they had to wait for the couch to be sent from another company in Dallas. Every time I would call weekly for an update about the couch, Mr Owen would act like he didn’t know what I was talking about, until I would bring up the mattress and then he would remember. And would still make comments like it was my fault for the box knife cut on the cushion from his employee cutting the bag off the couch. After almost 2 months of them not calling back when they said they would ( Mr. Owen ) and the I don’t remember attitude, and the I don’t see how it got cut from my guys because they had pads. I contacted an attorney. After telling them that I was taking legal action. They said how? We didn’t do anything wrong. When I told the my attorney said that I have a case against them and will be taking action, miraculously they got the couch in 2 days.    Read moreWent to Owen furniture to buy a Electric dryer. Picked one out paid for it. Loaded in to my vehicle in the box. Got home to find out they had given me a gas dryer. Loaded the Dryer back in to my vehicle drove it back to them to get it replaced with a electric one. Fast forward 4 months. After using the dryer decided it is just not high capacity enough for my family, I called Owen furniture and asked "What is your return policy?" The lady would not tell me. She insisted on me telling her what it was I wanted to return first and how long ago (4 months) She said "Yeah sorry we will not be able to return that". She wouldn't tell me what exactly the return policy is. So it may be a 1 month return policy or a 1 year. I guess ill never know. Just depends on if they feel like they want to or not. 0/10 would not recommend. I was honestly surprised at the shady customer service from a "Family Company" Not very friendly at all or helpful....
   Read moreI needed to replace my bedroom carpet. Initially, I wanted to use wood plank flooring. I learned that due to the type of skirting around the house; there is not enough circulation to use wood plank flooring. It could be done, but the guarantee on the planks could probably not be honored.
In the end, we replaced our old carpet for new carpeting. Owen's flooring team did a wonderful job with the installation. I'm so grateful that they were honest about the flooring. The carpet, including installation, was far less than the wood flooring.
