I visited Soprano’s for the very first time and quickly learned how they do business. I am from out of town and needed two cakes for a close friend’s last minute birthday party. A previous employee of Soprano's called the cakes in for me to pick up. Apparently there was a personal vendetta involved with the previous employee that resulted in the worst customer service Iv ever come across. The order was taken and made for pick up. The employee that took the order was supposed to refuse the order due to them “not liking the previous employee” When we arrived, their solution was to charge extra for the purchase due to them not wanting to take an order from the person that called it in. The order was taken, verified and made. I was only interested in supporting the local grocery store instead of driving to Baton Rouge. They charged an extra 10$ per cake simply because they did not care for the person that worked there five years ago. I would have rather been refused service instead of showing up same day to learn that we would have personal feelings involved in what I was charged. This is horrible business. The conversation with the manager was ridiculous. I guess business can’t be separated from personal in a small town. I was told they are allowed to charge whatever they wanted for any situation. The employee that took the order should have been the only one held accountable. Really just the worst experience Iv encountered dealing with what is supposed to be a business. Please be sure to avoid this store if anyone you know or related to, has any personal problems with management/staff. I feel sorry for the way this company is being ran and represented. You guys have...
Read moreEmployees don't know how to weigh produce. "Harlie N" held her hand on my onion so that it came out to be 1.69 pounds. I asked to reweigh it and saw that it was .63 pounds, however she decided to just unvoid the 1.69 pound total and claim that she did actually weigh it correctly. I guess because she didn't want to seem wrong. Anyway... I weighed it on my kitchen scale at home and it is 10 oz.
10 ÷ 16 oz in a pound = 0.625 pound
Ended up paying almost...
Read moreI love this grocery store! It's the closest one to me, so it's perfect for when I need to make a quick run to pick something up last minute. Obviously doesn't have the selection of a big box store like Walmart or Super1, but they have a good selection for a small, local store, and their prices are reasonable! Their meat section is awesome, with cuts that I can't find anywhere else! Everyone there is super friendly and makes me feel like a...
