Vestergaard Farms — Local services in Lodi Township

I began shopping at Vestergaard Farms in 2019 and after tonight’s meal realized “the farm”, as we call it, deserves a long overdue review. Tonight we grilled their Delmonico steaks - OUTSTANDING! As another reviewer described “like butter.” We also regularly purchase their frozen beef, chicken and pork items; all are excellent, packed well and easy to keep in a refrigerator freezer (don’t need a separate freezer in the garage). During summer/harvest months you can pick up very reasonably priced fresh, organic veggies on the porch. Many other grocery items from eggs, cheeses, RIch Grains bread/buns, Calder Dairy, quiches, salmon, honey, sorbet, and tortillas, are always available...

This place is an absolute gem! So glad I stopped here and after driving by it for many months. Wonderful small farm market with homegrown produce, organic beef, pork and poultry, all from their farm, plus a variety of locally sourced products, including dairy, coffee and frozen foods. The day I stopped, beef and chicken products were in a fresh case, but most of the meat is frozen. Great variety of cuts, too. We grilled the chicken breasts the first day and they were delicious! Been in my “saved” tabs for a little over three weeks and I couldn’t wait to come check it out. Wow, just beautiful.

Green pastures, happy cows and friendly employees. Goats and a young cow in a very clean space, up front for customers to interact with. I can’t wait to take my kids here and teach them the importance of how we should raise and source our food.

I have found my farm and couldn’t be happier to support this local business.
