The company sent a guy out last year for a pre-summer maintenance check (part of an annual paid contract) and he told me everything was fine. He noticed some water in the condensation pan but said that it wasn't a big deal and left it.
A few weeks later I had a bunch of water leaking through the ceiling and wall into my son's room because the water that I wasn't supposed to worry about had filled the pan and leaked into his room through the return duct.
While I was getting the water damage to the carpet, ceiling and walls fixed in his room they sent another guy to fix the issue. He dumped several gallons of water into my attic and onto my hall floor because he just unhooked the return line (which was still full of water) and just watched it all pour out. Afterwards, he did not remove the soggy return line, but rather just hooked it back up and told me it would "probably dry out eventually".
I was charged over $400 for him to dump water all over the place and hook the wet duct back up, and within a couple days the condensation pan was full again so I ended up getting a different company to come out to try and figure out what happened and actually fix the issue. Turns out the drain pipe was clogged, which both of the guys either missed or didn't care enough to...
Read moreHalf our house wasn't being heated and we could hear the blower going on and off. First company we contacted wanted 3x the amount we ended up paying with Georgia Climate Control, and that first company tried to get us to replace our whole Hvac system which has no other issues at the moment. Second company diagnosed the problem but said they don't do that repair. Enter Georgia Climate Control. Called this AM and they came out same day, fixed the issue, charged a very fair price, and were very pleasant to work with. Randy the technician was great, even played with our big dog while he wrote up the invoice! Will only call these folks in the future for any HVAC issues!! Happy sitting in my toasty warm house now :)
Edit: we have since used this company for a new air conditioner install. They were again very responsive, reasonably priced, and great to work with. We are very happy with our new ac. They work quick and cleaned up the area around the new AC install. When our unit arrived it was damaged, so rather than make us wait for a new one they gave us a slightly higher efficiency one at the original quoted price, which was something that didn't have to do but was a really nice touch. We certainly will continue to use them for all...
Read moreWe did a lot of research on various companies in the area before choosing to have our AC units checked up. We wanted someone reliable and knowledgeable. After reading through many reviews, we chose Georgia Climate Control. When I reached out for a quote, they responded within a few hours, which we really appreciated. Allyson answered all of our questions and was very responsive over email. On the day of our appointment Randy the technician came out. He was very punctual, professional, and of course knowledgeable. He told us what check-up he did on both of our AC units and found that a capacitor on one of them was not at its optimal performance, so we went ahead and asked him to replace it. We did chat some more, and he was able to offer some great advice related to HVAC. All in all, he spent almost two hours at our home, checking the equipment inside and outside of our house. We also appreciated that he wore a face mask and shoe covers when he entered our home. Best of all, we felt like we received personalized and honest service. The entire process was easy and fast from booking an appointment to the day of the actual appointment. We highly recommend Georgia Climate Control â ask for Randy when you...
