Los Olivos Grocery — Local services in Lompoc

My GF and I were heading north to San Francisco from Los Angeles. The deli section was the perfect solution for a casual to-go picnic at the ocean in Cayucos.

We asked Tyler at the deli counter for a Cobb Salad and a Cachuma Chicken Sandwich. Both were going to be made fresh.

Tyler knocked it out of the park on both items! The salad had lots of blue cheese crumbles, thick bacon, etc., along with grilled chicken. The sandwich used toasted bread, lots of fresh veggies, and a very tasty grilled chicken!

We added a half bottle of Cambria’s Chardonnay - Katherine’s Vineyard, and continued on to the coast. Great wine!

I made a purchase here and was going to split the bill with my friends. My card for half and theirs for half. My card was charged $50 then my friends decided to hand me cash. The checker then charged my card a second time for the full $100. Not refunding the original $50. Checker said they would issue a refund but never did. Way above average of high end, high quality, not often found products. The deli counter was very good. Expensive. 9+ bucks for a ham and swiss sandwich on sourdough. The fact is ... It's worth it. Quality makings top to bottom. Cordial, helpful guy on the counter. They get a ton of tourists. There is an observable difference in attitude and helpfulness depending on if your a local or not a local. I can understand to some degree but more effort at parity would serve the store well.
