I thought the service was courteous and polite, but BEWARE! CREDIT CARDS DO NOT OPERATE HERE LIKE ALL OTHER CHARGE AT THE REGISTER GAS STATIONS in over 25 years of driving experience. I was told today over the phone by an attendant there is signage posted saying you have to return to the register to get change (sometimes in cash) for your Credit Card purchase of fuel.
Less than a month ago, on 11/21/2011, I visited the station between 4:25 PM - 4:57 PM. Hoping for a fill up, and following the expectation created by precedent of every other register charge for gas transaction I have made across the country, I requested a charge amount of $50.00, went out to the pump, and according to common habit recorded that I purchased 13.2871 gallons of 87 octane at $2.89 a gallon costing me $38.40 cents. Weeks later, when looking over my records, I noticed that the $50.00 charge was not released from my card like register charges from every other gas station I have been to have done. So now, one day shy of a month later, I am still waiting for my $11.60 in change, and there is still a $50.00 charge on my card for the transaction in which I only received $38.40 in gas.
I made several calls to the station which all ended with the attendant telling me they were told by management that they can not reimburse a transaction that is over a month out, when at the time of the call on 12/20/2023 was clearly less than a month out. I told them I would be disputing the charge with my card's carrier. BEWARE! GO BACK INSIDE AND GET YOUR CHANGE. Don't let this...
Read moreWe had to make a stop while we were traveling with the whole family. This is one of few stops outside of the mountain range. One of the first if you're leaving, and one of the last if you're heading in. The bathrooms were relatively clean, staff super friendly and professional, and food and merchandise was well organized and seemed fresh. I noticed there were a lot of people doing quick stops. It honestly doesn't look like much on the outside, but again I thought they did a good job with the inside. My husband said the men's room was definitely not clean, but it wasn't as bad as other stops. There were also some folks milling about; sleeping outside of the store and walking back and forth to the paintball attraction. We just gave each other space. We definitely made sure the kids were not wandering from us, and that it really was...
Read moreA small T stop that has a diner. Food is "okay". The pancakes were horrible though as if they didnt use any eggs or milk in the batter causing them to be solid without any kind of fluff to them. Times arent that bad to be making cakes like that. The small road that goes up the hill continues into a utv trail system, although its posted "NO UTV's". I mountain bike it if I have the time. If you follow the trail and stay to the right at the fork, it will lead you down a big hill eventually to a revolutionary war graveyard that looks abandoned. You can make it back there with a pickup, but hiking, it will be an hour, and biking it will be about 30 mins. There are tough hills so it depends on your physical condition. If you goto the left at that fork, it goes on much much further into who knows where. Great...
