The Planter Box — Local services in Long Beach

I absolutely enjoyed my trip to the planter box. I don't walk very well anymore, and the owner, Teresa, was an absolute joy. I had heard that she didn't really get close to too many people, and I understand that because I'm kind of that way myself. But, when I went in, after making an appointment, I found her absolutely joyous. She had so much knowledge after running this business since she was 11 years old with her parents, that there wasn't anything I asked her that she didn't have an immediate answer for. When I made the appointment I told her what my situation was and when I arrived, she had already said things out in an area where all I had to do was drive my car right to them and be able to discover which ones I wanted to take home. That's going out of your way to help a customer. Danner, one of the workers there at the store, put all of the plants in the back of my van, took took the tags off of them with the prices attached, and took them back into the store for Teresa. I pulled my car back around to the front, got out and went in and paid. Could not have been a sweeter situation. She even suggested since I had a couple plants the deer really like, to get some deer spray. Has worked wonders. Next time you need any kind of plant, indoor out, stop by the planter box. I have lived in Ocean Park all but 3 years of my life and went to school with the children of this family owned business. I am very impressed with the knowledge that they have and feel confident in their abilities to help me with my planting and gardening needs. Whenever I have a question about a plant or the health of one of my plants they have the answer and they don't look it up on the computer! Yes it's real honest to goodness brain power its very impressive . Teresa is doing a great job, and the plants at this place are top notch with a large variety to choose from and everything you will need for planting and so much more . If I could give 4.5 starts I'd have liked to. The planter box isn't just a gardening store, it's a pet feed store, there's a wide variety of product. The only thing keeping me rating 5 stars was that although the person working was knowledgeable about the products and products uses... he wasn't very friendly or outgoingly helpful unless asked and. I auctually had to ask if he even worked there in the first place when he came in and was sizing me up which I didn't really like. The store it's self was great though. I used and enjoyed everything I purchased and even went back in after seeing more stuff I wanted on my way out...
