Note: I really, really wish I could give half stars as reviews as we did have a very minor hang up with a bridesmaid dress, more on that below. Basically, 4.5 stars.
I LOVED this store for my wedding dress. They had an okay selection of "tea length" dresses, which were impossible to find in any other big name store. For my dress, everything from day one to final fitting went well. They altered it perfectly, suggested stuff to prevent chaffing from the netting around the neck, bagged it and had it ready to go in plenty of time. I couldn't have been happier with the customer service on my dress. The ladies were so kind and genuinely made me feel like the most valuable bride in the busy store. Their selection is great, a wide selection for every bride and budget; just be honest with them on what you want and they will find you something.
Now for the bridesmaids. They tailored the dresses like I wanted and got two of the three done without a hitch. However two of my three bridesmaids were pregnant, with one starting to show and grow; this is where we had a problem, and it came down mostly to communication. We were told to have this bridesmaid come down with me during my second fitting to get her dress tailored. She showed up and was told by the consultant that she "didn't know anything about the bridesmaids because another worker did that." This was annoying since she was supposed to have had a lace up corset put in the back at this time and that hadn't been done; no alterations had been done on the dress, and this was a problem because my bridesmaid specifically called and set up an appointment with me to have the dress fitted. My bridesmaid left that day annoyed for having wasted a drive and being told to come back later. After a few phone calls my bridesmaid was sent to the consultant's home for a fitting (which was okay as she lived close by) and then finally back to the shop to get the dress. I think we had a big miscommunication between the consultants and us, but the stress that this caused was unnecessary.
So, to summarize, great place, no problems with my dress and a very small, but annoying, hiccup with one of my bridesmaids. Fair prices, nice ladies, and, to be fair, our circumstances were different because of my pregnant bridesmaid. So, all in in all 4.5/5 stars with a 5 as a...
Read moreBridal Isle is a little shop located in Loomis, Nebraska. I had originally made an appointment at Hello Beautiful in Kearney but cancelled it when my mom went in to look before I drove all the way to town and saw that the dresses in the style I like started at over $1000 there. After that dud, it was a no-brainer for me to make an appointment with Bridal Isle. I went there previously for some prom dresses in high school and I really loved the selection and customer service so it was worth the drive from Lincoln for me! When I made an appointment, we walked in and there was a little board that had my name on it and said welcome. It made it seem very “homey” for me and my nerves settled down! The woman who helped me was very great. She took my price point and we went over what I was looking for in a dress and immediately began pulling them for me. All of the ones that she picked for me were lovely! Although I loved the dresses, I started getting bummed because I wasn’t getting “the feeling” that everyone talks about. She gave me one more dress to try on, and as soon as I looked in the mirror I cried! I literally ended up staying in my dress for 10 minutes just twirling around. She went and picked out a beautiful veil for me with lace edges that completed it for me. I ended up getting 50% off of the veil since we purchased the dress! They only required half down and held it for me until we were ready to pick it up which was wonderful! At the end of my appointment, the woman who owns the shop gave me a cup with the bridal isle logo on it filled with goodies, including cookies that were her mother’s recipe. I got a free garter after I posted my “I said yes!” photo to Facebook which was a cool addition. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend Bridal Isle. I felt like a princess the whole time and walked away with the dress of my dreams for...
Read moreI wish I could give 6 stars! This place was absolutely wonderful. The gal who helped me find my dress was a dream. So kind and listened to what I had to say. She also listened to what my party had to say and together we found the most amazing dress. After my dress came in I called and asked if I could come try on the dress and they said anytime you want come on in. I went in with my whole bridal party minus one on a Saturday and they were accommodating to the fullest. The gal who helped me the first time remembered me and talked to me about details that were dinky, but she remembered and that's nice. My bridesmaids even tried on dresses without an appointment, which I know isn't all that courteous, but they were kind enough to let us since we were already there trying on my wedding dress. They have a large selection in store to choose from. We went to some other bridal shops that don't even have half of the selection Bridal Isle does. They also carry a variety of shoes, jewelry, head pieces, veils, bridesmaids dresses, mother of the bride dresses, and flower girl dresses. The personal touches they have, service, and AMAZING selection gives them a 5 star in my book. They also have a very nice...
