We had a truly memorable experience with our guide, Gerard. His knowledge of the history and way of presenting the information had us listening and captivated. My 15 year old thought it was interesting too which is telling! It started out as a rainy day, but it did not ruin our walk. He kept us engaged and continued to point out cultural, architectural, historical, and also spookie facts of buildings and surroundings as we walked. The restaurants were amazing too. Gerard introduced us to local favorites that included their special Santa Fe seasoning, flavors, and heat! We liked it so much, we bought some to bring home too. He also accommodated my teenager at a pottery spot where we got slightly messy making pottery while having a cocktail and beer flight. I think that was the highlight for her since she loves art and had something to bring back home. I wanted a walking tour that would teach me about Santa Fe and New Mexico history and feed us along the way, we ended up with so much more with this experience. I took the Santa Fe Plaza walking tour with Vigilante Guides over Labor Day weekend and was thoroughly impressed. Jerard brought the city’s rich history to life & and it was even better hearing it from a true local! Beyond the fascinating stories and sights, the meals and drinks were fantastic. These weren’t just tiny tastings, but full, delicious plates. I especially loved sitting on the rooftop at Coyote Cafe - the taco, marg & chips were muy bueno, and the pizza stop was the perfect cherry on top. At each stop, we enjoyed great food while having genuine conversations as a group, which made the experience feel even more personal. The pacing of the tour was comfortable and relaxed, never rushed.
