This is Professor Phyllis Spragge, one of the worst professors I have ever had in my life. I'm talking about intro to dental hygiene, It is online class. She gives us quiz and HW every week. She will not give us HW answer until we finish the quiz. We never know the HW correct answer if we are not sure the ans. We still put the wrong ans on the online quiz. It is our first quarter to learn dental assist, but we need to read dental speicalities and take quiz. Very unfair to student. First of all this isn't an intro to dental hygiene, it is an english class. My advice is don't take it during summer or avoid her at all costs. Week 1 we have 3 assignments due wed and 3 due by Sat. They are either long essays or a video discussion in which she docks points if your replies are all on the same day. More papers than an english class. Gives unclear grading rubrics in video discussions, always deducted points even when addressed 'said' issues - She seems like the professor that will never give you full points because she doesn't believe in A's. Rude when giving feedback. I'm not asking you to be the nicest person, but at the very least, you can be respectful. Avoid her if u can. This was the most ridiculous class I have ever taken. Takes away points for no reason and...

NOT SO POSITIVE -Though a less packed school: The first few weeks the quarter are very crowded and you have to come earlier to make time to find parking -The road that goes around the perimeter of the school is one-way (less accidents?) -Far(ish) drive to nearest store...
Read moreEnglish classes are graded arbitrarily (one out of 20 assignments can swing you from an A+ to a C+, and if the instructor feels like it, an F.) If you question the final grade, the first response is "grades are at instructor discretion". The dean will say that they do not make judgements on grading issues but will write down your concerns. When you inevitably drop your case due to uncooperative dean and professor, the dean will turn around and put in writing that the grade was in fact fair and start defending the professor in writing, even though they earlier said they do not make judgements. So the dean can step in on the side their staff but not the student. Also if you go over 12 units, you have to pay not only for the excess units but ALL units....
