I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but this one job had me absolutely fuming. I feel obligated to share my experience to save others from the same agony.
I initially chose Kano The Installer Car Stereo Shop & Window Tint Installation because of their high review rating. I trusted those ratings, but wow, was I wrong.
I went in for an installation of 4 speakers, 2 tweeters, an amp, and a stereo. They quoted me $1,500 but negotiated it down to $1,400. They assured me the install would take 2–3 hours, but it ended up taking over 6 hours.
They promised my car’s camera would work with the new stereo, but after the install, it didn’t work at all. To make things worse, when I got home, I discovered they had burned out 3 of the 5 channels on the amp. It’s clear they knew this because they used RCA jumpers to route all the sound into one channel for all the speakers.
When I asked about the delay, they claimed it was because they do “quality work.” However, there was absolutely no quality in this installation. They sent me home with defective equipment, leaving me frustrated and disappointed.
This business is an embarrassment. If you have any common sense, read this review and avoid this place unless you’re willing to take a gamble. I know their PR team might try to dismiss this as just a disgruntled customer, but I’m simply sharing the facts of my experience. Don’t make the mistake of trusting...
Read moreYoung dude over the phone was nice, I sent him a link to my Amazon purchase (infotainment + back up camera) as well as my cars vin, year make and model (hatchback) and he said labor would be around $120 could be more or less. I’m not sure why they need to look at the car in person but that’s their policy, it is what it is. Anyway you show up in person and they shoot me a straight number of $180 without even looking at the car, this cancels out the need to look at the car in person. The place is trashy and your boy Kano is a wack salesman. On top of that, he rebuttals to me with “if you can’t afford it” after I tell him that his estimate is way over the $120 price, as soon he thought I couldn’t afford his estimate, I immediately checked out, unprofessional owner = unprofessional business 👎🏻
Go across the street with Dino audio they’ll get you right, they’re not afraid with giving over the phone pricing and...
Read moreJust bought a 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 and needed a front and back dash camera installed. I live in Santa Clarita but not long ago I accidentally found this 11th Street block of car accessories install group of businesses. It’s a highly competitive market and more so with so many in one-block.
Did a little research and decided to call Kano’s and spoke to Israel. He is super professional and extended his knowledge of my dash cam install and power wiring harness. Best price as well - more than half the price I found locally.
I showed up and they immediately went to work. Their top install expert Carlos did a great job wiring both cameras. I was in and out in an hour - very fast and efficient.
Highly recommend Kano’s - professionally quality, excellent service and value.
Just ask for Israel and he’ll get you all hooked up.
PS. They do everything car accessories related - you name it, they...
