Valley Building Supply Inc. — Local services in Loudon

This place is an excellent example of a small town hardware and building supply store. They have a wide range of products to help me out with many of my projects. I much prefer going here over giving my money to the nameless people behind the competition big box Home Sleepot or Slowe's...This place is ahead of them in knowledge by leaps and bounds and if I can buy from this store I will. Now they may not have everything that the bigger stores have, and maybe you'll pay an extra dollar here and there over their competition, but my friends these are the businesses that helped to make our country the best in the world, and while our country may be slipping away from what made it the best, this store will continue to be a testament to what made us the best and what America should be and could be. I wish this place all the luck in the world and would absolutely love to be able to work for a place like this, in fact now I am going to fill out an application to work here tomorrow! My husband did a carpentry job for a client who ordered Alside siding from Valley. The siding buckled terribly, and the siding rep blamed it on my husband because he used a siding nailer. So he re-did it all by hand to their specs and it still buckled- and they still said it was his fault! He’s been installing siding for over twenty years and never had this issue. Now Valley is saying there’s nothing they can do (won’t replace it, won’t even take back the unused siding) and the homeowner is going to have to start over from scratch buying all new siding and my husband is going to have to re-do weeks worth of work at his own cost just to make it right. Alside is a bad product (read the reviews, there are MANY poor reviews) and Valley doesn’t seem willing to work with anyone on this....

Our second shed lacked the railing we asked for so one was added...

The third shed we had them build to order and they used the worst wood available. Grade 3 I believe. Mostly edge cuts and knots. And no screen in the ridge vent? 😭 Bugs.

Not a good way to treat a repeat customer and this is why we haven't been back in 3 years.

Jason D is a great guy to work with. Josh too. We had a bit of a problem and they have bent over backwards to help us. I can't recommend Valley enough.

Lloyd sold us a sweet little shed and had it delivered a few days later.

Shed was delivered, leveled, etc. All good stuff. It's just a shed so I won't review that here, but, the sheds could use some additional features.
