Food Lion — Local services in Louisburg

Usually a pretty decent experience. However, on this date 9/8/22, around 4pm, the cashier show poor customer services. At the farthest register closet to the McDonald's end, I noticed the cashier, a young white male, exhibit pretty good customer service to the white woman in front of me. Telling her to have a nice day, being very professional. Then it's my turn.... not a word, snatches my cookie bags, ginger snaps, still a cold hard, rushing body language, still silent, rings up my total like he's trying to rush me out the way. I tell him to throw the receipt away, still not a word. I'm not saying dude was racist, but as a black man, I noticed the difference in service, and it didn't look right. I can tell you how it looked and how I felt as a customer. Young white male, if you're reading this review, I was the black man in all black getting off work. People can tell the difference in treatment and service, they can read body language. Most of your communication is nonverbal. Be careful how you treat people, you may not know whose presence you're in! If you're going to choose who you make an effort to treat with good customer service, you're in the wrong field. MEAT DEPARTMENT MANAGER. This guy never speaks or even make eye contact with you. I have asked him questions in the past and he is so "COLD" with his answers, almost like I am bothering him. I have never seen him with a hat or hair net on nor a white jacket so out First meeting I asked if he was the Store manager and he said no. Today his nicely creased shirt was unbuttoned at the top and OF COURSE he didn't speak. I walked slowly past him but decided to go back and let him know how I felt. He looked up from the meat case with a goofy look and his face and looked at another customer as if to ask them "what is she talking about"? This type if treatment SUCKS from employees in your store, none of them speak by the way. I must say the cashiers and deli have always been courteous and Joyce is a pleasant face to see when I first walk in, she is Always polite. I actually drive Past Walmart to shop at this Food Lion. Probably won't be back for...

I’m literally sitting in the parking lot writing this. I’m never returning here. Employees smelling like weed. No registers open. Cashiers with attitudes. I’ve never experienced anything like it. I watched the cashier that was smelling like weed come up to the front. Open a register to check out someone she knew and then close out. I had one item and was standing behind a lady with a ton of stuff. She looked me dead in my face and walked off. Probably for another smoke break I assume. And the cashiers who rang me up talked to each other the entire time. I don’t understand why it took two cashiers to bag….. nonetheless, neither acknowledged customers. Very damn rude.
