Dollar General — Local services in Louisville

Recently DG has upgraded their merchandise (thank goodness, no offense but one seasonal aisle of home decor is not cut it for sales) however, I am a faithful shopper...they def have redeeming qualities: 2 full Aisles of ESSENTIALL items for ONLY $1.00..(FAN FARE) We, THE COMMON FOLK,Thank You for YOUR discounts on all things Important. Reducing our Anxiety LEVELS when the Balance of our Purchase doesn't make us cringe.

To Anyone & Everyone out there on a Budget...Especially any Single Parents whose children think we have Magic ATM Cards ("Automatically Mom's Money" or as they also tend to Believe, "Automatically MY Money!") Aside from seemingly permanently dirty large spots/stretches on their floors, I think the other bad reviews have pretty well summed up this really off putting store. I used to live like a few minutes from this place, but it was (and likely still is, was there not too long ago) so bad that all of those cons weighed too heavily against the pro's of simply coming in to get those quick essentials. Yep, they would be out of or closed before the time on the door says their supposed to be. Also I was buying bottled water from for a little until they proved too unreliable in that dept too.

But unlike say Target, they refused to take back any packs of water because I said they had a nasty, funky taste from the plastic leeching into the water. Yes, that's a thing and it happens fairly commonly in...

They received a 1 one because zero was not available. I arrived at 8a only to have the store clerk smoking a Black and Mild and the front door. The store is dirty and not well stocked. When I asked for a specific product he stated it's "behind Aisle 13." I go to the instructed spot and it's not the product I need. He's on his phone texting while he entertains a delivery guy. When I tell him I don't see it he replies that's where it is. So, I assume you don't have it if I don't see it... totally distracted he stated we don't have it. I politely left my half full cart at the cou ter and left (even though I needed the items).

I know employers a "scrapping the bottomed of the barrel" for employees, but this was BEYOND the bottom. I will never...
