I wish I could give 0 stars. I am very disappointed and unsatisfied with this whole company and experience. For a festival that is all all about the Pope Lick Monster, I learned absolutely nothing about the monster or its lore. I attended the Goatman Festival on Sat (Oct. 14th) and though it was quiet bare, it is a free event so I wasn’t expecting that much. That is not my problem. My problem is the “Horror Hike” that was offered for $20 a person is a scam. Myself and 2 of my friends went on the hike and it was awful. Here are the reasons why: They did not check who purchased tickets and there was about 50 people in the group so it was a very large group to hike with. So I hope you like screaming children, drunk people, and smokers crowding you in the dark There were no scares at all as advertised. No man in a costume or even a jump-scare. The main tour guide did not wear a microphone or headset and I could not hear a single thing he said the whole time. Plus as I said, there were about 50 people in the group so everyone was pushing trying to listen or they were talking loud amongst each other and we couldn’t hear a thing.
Personally I’d say save your $20 and go to a real haunted house or haunted experience because this is just throwing your money away. And if you are dead set about going on a hike at pope lick guess what? You can do it FOR FREE! Pope lick park is a community park and you can literally just walk the trails and read about the legend on Google. Trust me you will learn so much more from Google than you will on this hike. Or idk whenever they offer the next hike, just show up and stand with the group, not like they check tickets. Don’t make the same mistake I did and waste money on the horror hike. Save it and if you love horror, Scarefest Convention is usually around the same time within a week so go to that if you want some real scares and it is all ages as well and 100x...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I went through this haunted trail last weekend and needless to say this place has a few issues starting with how long you wait in such a short line, next is the actors most of them just go for the first person in the group, for example I was in front of my girl friend and I made direct eye contact with majority of the actors before they jump out but they would still jump out at me not scaring me at all when if they would have a really good scare for the back of the group that tagged along with us, other than that the actors were really good. Next was the dead zones, majority of the haunt was spent walking on trails were there were no actors AT ALL. Staff was very nice to us though but this haunt is made more for little kids and not made for...
Read moreThe venue was well kept, clean, and neat things to see were all over. 4 of us attended the 2 indoor rooms on a rainy day last weekend. The rooms were both filled with interesting puzzles and tough challenges that were unique to each. All of us have or are close to having our PHD in engineering and the escape rooms took us a bit under 30min a piece of the allotted 45min. The employee played into our group well and enhanced the experience by keeping an eye on us and giving small feedbacks of how our actions are affecting the surroundings. I consider this one of the best experiences I have had in the parks and fully plan to go back to experience the outdoor challenges when the weather is...
