Public Storage — Local services in Louisville

Horrible. They have been having a broken gate for 2 months. It sits wide open and unsecured for all day long and be then gets chained closed at 6pm preventing access until 9p as paid for. This is supposed to be repretable company but they can't get their security gate fixed. And are not compensating customers for their inconvenience. And inconvenience is a broken gate for a few weeks.. But for TWO whole months. That is unacceptable business practices.

EDIT: On Aug 29 they let a person drive on the property and rob 19 storage units including MINE! We were not told until we came to the site about a week later. Didn't offer an apology or anything. In fact they had the nerve to RAISE the rent on the property!!!! And have the nerve to demand payment for the month when they failed to secure my belongings.

EDIT:Nov. 5: Called on Nov. 1st to let them know we were coming to get the storage. Drove two trucks 100ml to get my belongings out of the storage and they have the nerve to have their lock on my storage. The property manager finally called me back today for days later to apologize and assure me their lock was off. She had the audacity to try to convince me the gate was NOT broken until AUg. 29. The day off the robbery!!! She says she SAW it with her own eyes.... Well I hope her eyes can also see this review on Google that had been posted way before she...

Lesson learned and I will be removing my things from this storage place. A week ago I rented a unit, brought a lock from the storage facility, moved my things in on a Saturday and Sunday. By Monday a mysterious lock appeared on my unit beside my lock. I consulted the staff and spoke with Lindsey. She stated that she would notify the manager. 7 days later, still locked out of my own unit, 2 stop bys, numerous phone calls, I finally get a call at 3 pm on a Sunday that the lock was finally cut off. I go out to the unit only to find all my things were stolen. Police were called and a report was made, I was advised to move my things as this storage place has an inside job of cutting there camaras off and robbing the customers. This apparently has been happening since August 2016. I have literally had my unit a week and lost everything on top of the insurance I was made to buy since they stayed that won't rent yo you without it...it covers nothing. This is a scam company and don't use them. Even the police are stating to not use...

I have had problems the last 5 days trying to pay my rental. I had the prior company to this company taking over and they were good about being in the office, returning phone calls, etc. I went to the office on 3 separate days and they were out of the office and wouldn't be returning until 45 mins to an hour from when I arrived. I don't know what time they left. I called and they didn't answer. I work night shift and I have been picking up a lot at work. When I get off the last thing I want to do is try to reach someone by phone or wait for someone to return to the office. If I'm having to do all this leg work I was skeptical to put a check or money order in the drop box (if they have one- I have never looked because someone was either in the office or responded to my phone call) so I called public storage customer service and placed my email on file so I can pay online.
