Skydive Key West rocks!

My wife and I went to the Keys a few weeks ago, I’ve always wanted to sky dive but also meant a lot to share that with her so it took me a whole weekend to convince her to do it.

It was a blast! These guys are amazing!!

The whole team was funny, sharp, very encouraging and professional! This is like a normal day for them at the office 🤯

The anticipation was the worst, I could see the look in my wife’s eyes wondering what the heck was she doing there… and most of all, why she even listened to me in the first place (I was also having second thoughts as soon as the plane took off).

Once you are up there,10k ft high, and both instructors start getting ready and doing signs with their hands, you know what’s about to happen…They give you instructions and help you get ready nicely but firmly (they know what they’re doing) and then, whoosh, the noise invades the aircraft, the gate is open, get your legs out and, the moment you put your feet out, there’s no time for second thoughts, you are already flying and free falling!!!

It was one of the most wonderful and powerful experiences, ever. You don’t feel gravity, not as much as you would expect anyways; the views, the sensation, the wind, everything overwhelm you in a positive way for about one minute and then the parachute opens. At that point is really up to you if you want to peacefully glide and enjoy the views or have fun… of course, Sean (the Aussie :) ), my instructor advocated for the latter. It was crazy fun, those impossible angles, those leaps, it was wonderful, nothing like it…

We are extremely happy with our experience with Skydive Key West, those guys, the whole team, are ROCKSTARS!

We are determined to do it again, with them, no matter what. My wife and I have thought about making it “our thing” when traveling, meaning, if we go to NY, Vegas, Los Angeles, wherever, we will look for a place to Skydive and add up that experience to our belt.

A suggestion for you who’s thinking about doing it: DO IT, you won’t regret it!

To put my life in someone else’s hands requires the ultimate trust. I trust, honor and respect the Skydive Key West organization and all of its employees. They are all dedicated, passionate, and love their work. They are all competent, efficient and professional. Their positive and optimistic outlook is reflected in their interactions with each guest.

The combined knowledge and history the employees bring to the sky diving experience is extraordinary. Every aspect of the operation was smooth. The reservation system is straightforward. The office staff, pilots and skydive trainers are all helpful, accommodating, understand the value of customer service and create a positive experience for every guest.

The breathtaking views only experienced from above were dwarfed by the rush of pure joy entering my lungs as we jumped out of the plane. The blur of free-fall, turned into lush tropical parks and beach landscapes once the parachute was deployed. The ultra peace and quiet was ethereal.

If you ever have an opportunity to skydive, choose Skydive Key West! A special thank you to Ana in the office, my pilot Charlie and parachute instructor Marcus Lucas. Thank you for taking special care of me, my safety and making my adventure unforgettable on 19 August, 2023. I am also pleased I decided to spend a little extra for the professional photos and video that enabled me to share my skydiving adventure with friends and family.

The only negative is that it all ended too soon… I will definitely be back for more. Thank you.

Skydive Key West is an excellent business. They are well organized, competent, courteous, and absolutely delightful! It is easy to make an online reservation and they follow up with texts providing key information about your jump. You may also cancel easily if needed. Their facilities are clean and well maintained. You are greeted by a lovely individual who immediately puts you at ease and makes the entire process a breeze. All questions were answered politely and respectfully. The entire staff go out of their way to put you at ease and provide training for your jump. There are numerous screens available for observing proper jump positioning and landing. The office coordinator, personally, demonstrates correct positioning multiple times, as do the jump guides. The office coordinator puts your harness on and makes the first adjustments. The jump guide rechecks the harness and then you enter the plane. The jump guides are very courteous and make every effort to make the ride enjoyable. My guide explained everything over and over to help me retain the jump protocols during an exciting time, and to be sure I was safe and would have the best experience possible. The guide checks the harness multiple times to make sure everything is perfect and it was. The guide made the landing very easy and I was able to stand. It was my first jump, I am 70 years of age.
