Massingill’s Meat Market — Local services in Lufkin

I have been buying my meats from Massingill's Meat Market in Lufkin/Central on 69 North since 1980. I have always had the friendliest service and spoke to the most wonderful people. Hey they are just plain folks like me. I order my hind quarter cut up just like I want it and as thick or thin as I want it and they fix my meat just like I order it. Even my pork and my chicken comes exactly the way I order it. They wrap it like I ask so it will fit into my freezer right. They are so much cheaper than B. B.& WM, you just cannot go wrong buying your meat there. Their meat also tastes better too. They also offer other things like their own homemade sausage and links. You like things spicy, you got it, they will fix it for you. I am not kin to them but they make me fill like I am part of their family. I would not buy my meats anywhere else. We were pleased to find a full-service butcher shop so close to our home. The staff is knowledgeable about the products and how their to be prepared. They're always willing to give you more information if you need it. We have found their meat to be high quality and their ground chuck to be less fatty and greasy than what we find at a local grocery store. The only thing that I wish They Carried more of was fresh fruits and vegetables that would be good to serve with the meat. I also wish that they would consistently have more dairy products comma cheese, bread and other things that you could make a complete meal with. Wonderful place to do business. My son was called out to an accident involving a full grown cow and a truck. The beef had to be put down. He ended up bringing the cow home to avoid wasting the meat. We quartered it up and took it to Massingill's to be processed. These folks are affordable, friendly and professional. They let us bring the quartered beef in on the spot. Their packaging is quality for long freezer life. I have only good things to say about my experience.
