We recently bought a home from Regional homes, and while I wouldn’t say the entire process was a disaster, I would definitely caution homebuyers.
Dealing with our salesman Tristan we found he was efficient and friendly, and he did make home buying easier than we ever expected. The actual buying of the home was so simple and quick that we were skeptical when we started hearing all the negative things about what happens after you sign on the dotted line. We were those people that thought it wouldn’t happen to us. We very quickly saw why there were so many negative rumors after we closed.
After closing the first thing we were supposed to do was a site visit with manager Rustin. My wife set this up and took off work early to be there, only to have Rustin no show the appointment. When my wife contacted 15 minutes after the meeting time he simply said that “the day has gotten away from me” and would need to reschedule for the coming up week. She had to initiate contact the next week and reschedule. I was able to make this appointment because I was in town from work. The appointment was set for 5 and once again my wife took off work early only for him to show up an hour late. This really put a bad taste in both of our mouths and we started to get very nervous about how the actual delivery and set up would go. I can say that there were several bumps in the road and if it had not been for my wife being pushy, or “passionately persistent” I honestly don’t think that we would have been in our house for quite some time. She was constantly the one to reach out and ask about appointment dates, and when a hiccup did happen, she would contact only to be told they already knew about it but didn’t reach out to her.
We were referred to Regional by a friend who had a much more harrowing experience with them. We made sure to inquire about her referral bonus several times and were told she would receive $1000. She was even told that she would receive the bonus and as of 12/12/2024, 2 months later, she still hasn’t received the bonus.
I’m not going to say that everything was bad, when things did come up and my wife reached out, Rustin responded quickly and resolved everything as best he could. I just don’t think that it is the client’s responsibility to constantly reach out and ask for dates, times, follow ups, and push for the next step to be scheduled. I would still recommend them to people, but with a BIG caution that if you are not on top of things expect huge delays and no contact...
Read moreI wish I could leave a good review but at this point I can not. Rustin was great during the home selection process and getting paper worked signed. But from delivery to getting things up, communication was very lack luster and as a first time home buyer it was very frustrating, having to do research myself and figure things out by calling and complaining instead of it being explained to me. We have been living in our home for a year now and since day one we have had issues with our plumbing/septic. I’ve contacted regional homes multiple times for a sewage smell in my home after using shower and/or washing machine. They sent their plumber out twice and even basically everything told me he can’t find an issue, and it’s probably something with the septic. Ok fine, I’ve called Strickland septic multiple times because they are the ones who installed the septic system. Described issue and they have came out a few times and told me septic system looks fine and everything is working as it should. My house stinks anytime we use water, my septic breakers keep being tripped and no one will take accountability for it and get it fixed. Can’t recommend for this issue and the communication lapses during the delivery and set up period of the home. Additional info: Strickland Septic finally came out and did a thorough inspection and stated everything on their end looks correct and properly installed. Rep stated that issue has to be plumbing from within the home. States manufacturer must have not properly installed plumbing and that’s...
Read moreDo not bother. They are not worth the stress and mental anguish. They are dishonest. They are sketchy. You are nothing more than money in their pocket. The new GM finally had me believing that someone was on our side. Then he paid us $1k to "compensate for our troubles." After he paid us and got me to delete my last 1 star review AND change it to a 5 star, all communication from them stopped. At this point, $1k for our troubles is laughable. No accountability. We were nothing but dollar signs. They'll promise you amazing quality, but deliver the opposite. And be aware that if they tell you a power pole is included in the home, they're still charging you $2k for it. It's not included, it's in addition to. Edit: I did not lie. Like I stated above, he paid us to "compensate for our troubles." After discussing the reimbursement, he requested that I take down the review and then also requested that I leave a 5 star. I chose to agree to both, trusting GM to keep his word. Also, the factory is 100% due all credit because when he texted me about coming today, he had no knowledge of the repairs. He only learned about about last night, although you recieved all photos...
