I leased a home for 2,500 month with Debbie, there were many things was not disclosed at time of signing lease. One that the owner lived on same street as house I leased . Which meant I had the owner creeping by most every day.. I had no clue to this but noticed same car stopping in front of house, starring into my windows and garage. I had no privacy even stopping in front of home looking at my guest and myself standing in yard. Which was embarrassing. I complained nothing changed. Few weeks after I moved in the cosmetic work done to cover up water damage began to show. I spoke with property management in person . Complained of mildew smell in April in a work order. Once again in desperate work order in June. I had become very ill and was under Drs care from mold. Finally after then sending out 2 handyman with me telling both your not going to open that wall, this a professional problem. Air specialist was sent and house fails air test in 2 rooms .I was told both rooms/rooms would be remediate. I moved out of my home into a hotel for almost 3 months. I left nothing but refrigerator running and now have a $550 Entergy bill. Serve pro came turned on A/C and ran their machinery as I watched process on cameras. I was told could not enter home . Wall was torn out and then those two men walked for 4 hrs around in my home cross contaminating everything I owned. Left machines running and a/c on for 2 mths My vacuum was used to clean up mold and their ideal if remediation was sweeping and dusting . I complained and pleaded with Debbie to help rectify this.. my clothing, expensive evening gowns weâre all stuffed in garbage bags sat next to wall where mold was growing. This story could go in and on .. with me ultimately due to delays from the owner and orders from my Doctor not to move in unless additional test were done .. I moved after only living in this home little over 4 mths at my own expense. We can all attest that this house had toxic mold when I leased it. Water damage that was not disclosed and cosmetically covered by a painter . Not once in this extremely trying time did Debbie Hanna stand up and support/convey any of my complaints and truths of the injustice that was being done to me financially, to my personal property and belongings nor was kept inform. Unless u would want to lease from someone who as no regard to you or any of ur property /belongings, your physical welfare or when you bring up issue tries to spin the situations as to being all your fault even after she was the one who explained the terms and conditions of the remediation. Let me add .. I WAS NEVER LATE WITH 2,500.00 a month lease I advise lease else where . This was the condition my home when after 3 mths when I tried to...
Read moreI have been a home owner for over 6 years but due to Hurricane Harvey, I lost my home and needed a place to rent until I was able to get my place fixed. I ran across a home that double h properties had for rent so decided to give them a call. Little did I know, this would be the WORSE experience of my life. The home that I was approved to rent had a HORRIBLE infestation of fleas. The day before move in, my family & I went to the home to ensure that we were "move in ready." When I got there, I sat on the floor for a minute to change my son and something began to crawl on me. I jumped up and there were fleas all over me and my son. I was furious. I sent emails and I called a really sweet and caring lady named Becky (who works there) and she apologized multiple times and said that she would tell the manager. The manager (Debbie H.) then told her to tell me to get bombs and bomb the house and that I would be reimbursed...???....Well I did that and the bombs killed the fleas and all of the hidden roaches in the house. The next day (which was move in day), I went to the house and there were dead fleas and roaches all over the home. But the problem didn't stop there. I got back in my car and fleas were all over me....I had to bomb both of my cars because the fleas were that bad... I called the property back and spoke with another sweet lady name Tammie, and asked her to ask Debbie(the manager) to call me. Hours later when she finally called, she acted as if she had no concern, kept cutting me off over the phone, and when asked about a refund she was hesitant. I am the manager of my own company and would never ever question my customers or go back and forth with them about something that was my fault as debbie did. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone and will never deal...
Read moreDouble H has poorly handled correspondence with us after we were unfortunately flooded after tropical storm Imelda. After being given ever-changing circumstances surrounding the repair of our home, A Double H employee-- in a jarring display of unprofessional behavior-- had the audacity to give an exasperated sigh and inform my roommate that she was tired of hearing from us because we were concerned about the status of our living situation and placed several calls. She then added in a condescending tone that once we move out of the home, we would be out of the contractor's way. After terminating our lease, an email was then sent out to all tenants excluding myself implying that we were inconveniencing the landlord by rushing the process. Double H showed little respect, sympathy, or concern for our situation and did not seem to care about properly communicating with us. This is one of the poorest, most unprofessional experiences I have had the displeasure of undertaking, and I hope that anyone brave enough to conduct business with them has far better circumstances.
P.S-This is simply a condensed review. If I took the time to list every grievance, I'd be...
