I usually cut my own deer, but I had to leave for work the day after I got it this year. My wife dropped off my 4x3 buck at Henderson meats while I was gone. It was property cleaned, skinned, and hung as we do every single year. When she picked up the processed meat 3 weeks later, she was shocked at the amount of meat rendered. She called me disturbed, she said that she thought that a whole deer would fill more than 3/4 of one paper bag. I was furious. I called and left a fairly aggressive voicemail, as of course they were closed. When I finally got home and seen the bag with my own eyes, it made me sick. I drove to their shop in Green River. They were closed. I attempted to contact them several times with no response. They claimed that my deer weighed 87 pounds with nothing removed but the hide and back straps. What a travesty. What a waste of the deer’s life and my time and money. $150 for 3/4 paper sack of deer meat. As before stated, I almost always cut my own deer. I know how much meat is harvested. I highly recommend Henderson Meat Processing. We bought half a cow worth of meat from Chad Spackman, and Henderson Meat did the processing. Tiny was great at walking us through all of our options with half a cow; asking what we wanted, and how thick we wanted our cuts or how much we wanted everything to weigh. The process was very simple and we knew exactly what we were going to be getting. The cuts were beautiful, and very nicely packaged and labeled. I got lucky this year on my elk hunt and Shot my bull early in the hunt and did not want to take it home to have it processed. So I took it to Henderson's in Urie Wyoming because we have dealt with hendersons in the past and it has been nothing but a five-star experience. However, this year a mistake was made in the processing of my elk. Tiny made a few calls and as usual worked her magic and we were able to make everything 100% satisfactory.
