Fairground — Local services in Lyme

I attended this fair for the first time with my 2 young children. The fair was ok except for the ox pull, which was horribly cruel to watch. The oxen were so sweet, nuzzling up to be pet at the fence. It was really sad to watch the men yell and whip their faces as they strained uncomfortably to pull a weight that was obviously too heavy for them and completely unnecessary given the capabilities of modern machinery. This annual fair is a great place to bring family, especially if you have little ones. The exhibits were all "mini" except for the cattle/oxen which were 6 ft tall at the hip.
