I have been a full-timer single parent with two kids in the RV life for about a year now. While we stayed in the local area, we tried out several parks striving for that balance of affordability, beauty, amenities, and accessibility. After having experienced the resort standard to the rural standard, Western Sky RV wins hands down.
Affordable lots, easy access to San Antonio from I-35 but still rural enough to enjoy the quiet. The next door neighbors have goats and miniature horses and bovine varieties. The sunsets ARE truly beautiful with an expensive view of the western sky at the park.
Laundry is free (for now) and the better everyone pitches in to care for the machines, the longer that's likely to stay true. There is a HUGE dog park and a smaller one as well. The landscaping is young, but it was well thought out and makes the park pleasant to be in.
No pool or game room etc, but honestly how often do you actually use those amenities anyway?? It's my favorite park so far for what I like in a park and how I felt like my odd family of 1 parent, 2 kids, and 3 pets was made to...
Read moreIf you want a great place to park during the Winter months (Summer too if you don't mind the Texas heat) this is the place for you. Just need a couple days? Daily prices are comparable to other parks in the San Antonio area and they are a Passport America park. GREAT PRICE!!! GREAT PEOPLE!!!
We paid $325/mo + electric for December. Our electric was only $42 and that was with our Christmas lights on every night. The laundry is FREE also. It is located in an outdoor pavilion and doesn't have hot water but still...great money saver. There are no showers.
This is a new park. Our electric meter was at zero when we pulled in. Our site was perfectly level. They are putting in trees and keep the park immaculate. The owner and employees are super nice and helpful.
It's 13 miles from any sights but that makes for a quiet area. Groceries and your favorite fast food is 5 miles South.

Read moreWe moved here at the end of January and have been here since. The staff and community are great! Chester and Ethan are very respectful and always willing to lend a hand as well as check in periodically to make sure your stay is meeting your expectations. They have two very nice dog parks. The larger one is great for the dogs to run around freely without being on a leash. Another great perk is free laundry; we’re a full-time family of four and save so much because of the free laundry. Location is great if you want to get away from the city and live in the country. It truly reminds me of growing up on the ranch with the different animals the neighbors next door have. All in all we love this place and are hoping to stay here until our next PCS.
P.S. There are about 6 military families that are currently living here and have heard nothing but great things from all of...
