If I could, I'd give this place no stars. I'm speaking on what I witnessed my spouse having to deal with. We arrived after 11 p.m. last night and got turned away because supposedly the appointment was at 6 p.m. yesterday- that wasn't the time the shipper gave dispatch to give to my spouse. So we ended up getting turned away and dispatch was contacted. Appointment was changed to today. We got there on time and my spouse gotten instructions that were mostly in Spanish and he was informed he needed to take 3 pictures of the dock number, wheels being chocked and truck being seperated from trailer with his own phone. So after he did what he was told he took the pics but asked the check in person if he can email the pics because he felt showing his phone in the way they wanted was an invasion of his privacy. They told him no on the email and he can rehook the load and leave. Well, when he got back- the dock light was red and he couldn't hook back up to the trailer as a result. Well, the lady and who I assume was a security guard drove out to the truck basically told my spouse that while she agrees with the invasion of privacy, but they need the pics before they can unload him. So in the end, he was allowed to hold his phone ane swipe through the pics he had taken and the trailer got unloaded. Never had to deal with these types of issues at the other Walmart DCs we've been to. Heck, we've had good visits to em but this one was bad. The 14th Amendment exists for a reason. This DC needs...
Read moreIt's a Wal-Mart DC, and my expectations are not in and out with a live unloaded. Check-in is slow. Come at least 45 minutes before your appointment. You can't come an hour before, there is no truck staging area, no overnight parking, but it is small and the workers here are nice enough. The last time I was here, it took 2 hours from my appointment time to check out. Open your doors, back in your door, slide your tandems, disconnect your truck and pull away from your trailer, chock your wheels, then go to the office and drop your paperwork off. Do I need to tell you put your trailer dolly's down? LOL new thing is you need to fill out a paper: name number etc..., and take pics of 3 things, the door your in! You chocked wheels! Your truck detached from your trailer. Pretty soon you'll be unloading and checking...
Read moreYou can only arrive 45 minutes earlier than your appointment. Checking in at the guard shack is hit or miss. Sometimes you’re the only truck and sometimes there’s four or five trucks ahead of you… I was told to take pictures of the tandems slid to the back and chocked, truck detached from trailer, and a picture of the dock door and the trailer backed up into it. You need to fill out a small form with your truck number, phone number, company, and and then you go check in with shipping/receiving office. Was fully unloaded in an hour and a half, 42k pounds, full trailer. The employees were super nice and very professional. Great job to those guys and gals doing...
