⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — A Hidden Gem with Breathtaking Views Sunset Rock is one of the most peaceful and breathtaking spots on Mackinac Island. Tucked away near the back of the island, it offers stunning panoramic views of Lake Huron, especially during sunset — the sky turns beautiful shades of orange, pink, and purple, and the view over the water is absolutely magical. It’s a short walk or bike ride from town, located near Stonecliffe Mansion, and definitely worth the trip. The trail is quiet, shaded, and scenic — a perfect escape from the busier parts of the island. This is a must-visit for nature lovers, photographers, or anyone just wanting a quiet place to relax and soak in the beauty of Mackinac. Bring a blanket, sit on the rock, and just enjoy the moment. One of the most memorable parts of our visit to the island!

Good luck finding the path!! Do not use google maps like my husband and I did... we had to find our own unique way up. It made for a very interesting time though! I do recommend finding your way up about 30-45min early before others. We where able to get prime area as we where the first to arrive (I’m obsessed with capturing amazing pictures so this was important for me). Love love loved the look out it was prime for watching a beautiful sunset.

Good luck finding the path!! Do not use google maps like my husband and I did... we had to find our own unique way up. It made for a very interesting time though! I do recommend finding your way up about 30-45min early before others. We where able to get prime area as we where the first to arrive (I’m obsessed with capturing amazing pictures so this was important for me). Love love loved the look out it was prime for watching a beautiful sunset.

Mackinac Island is absolutely gorgeous. Unique shopping and diverse dining. Numerous trails to explore. It was so amazing and the view is breathtaking. It took around 2.5hrs to get through the entire island on the bike. I would definitely recommend either coming for a full day or to stay overnight to get the...
