The store has changed in such an amazing way since 2020. We are stocked to the brim with take out food options, interesting spirits, homemade sandwiches, any beverage you can think of, local products like soaps, jams and honey, & produce from Prochaska Farms. We are adding new products each week and keep everything as fresh as possible! It smells good, feels good, we welcome EVERYONE and prefer it that way! A lot of these reviews are older, so please come in and see us and have some fun conversations in a historic general store!

It's hard to drive by this place without stopping. Great place to grab a freshly made sandwich. They also make great entrees for dinner. They make the best baked goods including muffins and cakes. Great selection of liquor and any non alcoholic drinks you can think of. Do yourself a favor and just visit this cute, hometown store. They have cool t-shirts and beer (or water) coozies too!

Delicious sandwiches, especially the Macon Special. This is a great little store to grab lunch, or some beer to take home. The staff is super friendly and make you feel right at home. You won't regret stopping here.

I have lived in the area for the last 5 years. However, I hadn't stopped in here until the most recent owners took over. I'm from down south where these general stores are a little more common in the sticks. One thing that's different with this one is that they sell liquor. I saw that on their Facebook page and that pushed me to stop in. I'm a gin drinker, and they actually have a decent selection compared to a lot of stores here.

I've interacted with what seems to be both of the owners and they are very, very pleasant. They have a good selection of snacks and foods, and some glass bottle sodas.

Sure, you'll pay a little more at general stores, but not having to navigate the Busch's or Kroger parking lot chaos for a quick liquor or sandwich run... totally worth it. And, I'd argue that they're cheaper than the former anyways.

Also, if you're a cyclist, they have a bike rack out front and it's a nice safe route to ride. It's right at the crossroads of Clinton-Macon, Macon, and Ford Roads... all which have been good to me so far...

Stopped in at the Macon Grocery at the recommendation of someone we met. Had it not been recommended we would not have gone there as it is somewhat off the beaten path. The store apparently was built by Henry Ford, so the historic aspect of the place got our attention. When you walk in the store it throws you back in time to what a real general store might have been like. They have a nice selection of prepared foods, they have the basic staples, they have alcohol, a nice selection of candy, and some novelties. The store is small but well stocked. It was a fun and different place to visit. The shop keepers were very nice and helpful. It seems like a great and convenient place for locals to shop. It also seems like a great meeting place for Macon residents as there are tables outside to sit and eat or enjoy a drink. I think the owners have done a magnificent job of preserving a piece of the...
