Great people and a great turn out for a special race and my first visit here.

But, and it is a big but... It had me thinking on my hour and half drive home. Thinking how many tracks I have been to in over 45 years of dirt track races, the four states I have gone to races in and the 15 different tracks. All of that being said, this was easily the worst track conditions I have ever seen. What a disappointment for us fans and it had to be terrible for the drivers and their equipment! I love this sport and for it to continue for small tracks like this it has got to have a better racing surface. Aside from the equipment and the drivers getting beat up, it hurt the experience for us fans. Watching your favorite driver go out from a broken car, or settling into a safe 4th place finish for points or climbing the wall and really tearing up their car not to mention the lack of the drivers ability to pass on the rough surface and add to the competitive nature of the sport.

This could be a track I would easily drive down to for more events but at this rate, I don't foresee many of these drivers coming back.

Hopefully they reach out to other tracks (Fairbury?) that have people that could help them fix these terrible conditions.

If you are reading this post in 2025, avoid coming here unless you read about the surface being completely redone as it looked like it was beyond repair...

Officials don't pay attention to the entire track they are only watching the first couple of cars. There was an instance where had the caution been thrown there wouldn't have been an accident. Cars made it a while lap before a caution was thrown. There were also track officials consuming alcohol during the races. How are you supposed to be responsible for this race and the safety of the drivers but impaired at the same time. This is the first time I have been there since the new owners took over and I have to say it wasn't a good experience. I also commented on their Facebook post letting them know about the incidents and they deleted my and blocked me from commenting. I mean what are they trying to hide. Impaired officials create a very dangerous environment. They charged us extra admission for the twin 50s but then only ran 30s. It was all together a...
