We bought a boat from them back in November 2023, never again. We were told the boat was in pristine condition, a lot of salesmen's scenario, just tell you whatever it takes to sell you something July 2, 2024, Newest update: I was contacted by the Blackbeard Marine Kingston owner, have been instructed to contact Todd Black, new manager at the Kingston store and he will be happy to try and resolve all of the negative issues we have had since our boat purchase. I have sent an email to Todd Black today and waiting on a response. I will be giving updates once we hear from Todd Black. July 10, 2024 Newest update: As of today, no contact has been made to us from the office of the manager, Todd Black at the Kingston Oklahoma facility to make things right on the purchase of our boat and the condition of which we received it. Per the owner of Blackbeard Marine, contact Todd Black and Todd will get ahold of us and make things right. That has not happened and honestly we don't expect any contact from him to make it right from our own previous dealings we've had with Blackbeard. I will up date regarding our next move on this matter. UPDATE 7-19-24 WE'LL, WE "FINALLY" RECEIVED A CALL FROM TODD BLACK AT THE KINGSTON OKLAHOMA STORE 10 DAYS AFTER WE WERE TOLD TO CALL HIM PER STEVE JENNINGS, THE OWNER. WE ONLY RECEIVED A CALL BACK AFTER I CALLED STEVE JENNINGS. ME AND MY HUSBAND SPOKE WITH TODD ON JULY 12TH REGARDING THE MANY ISSUES THAT WERE WRONG WITH THE BOAT THAT WE KNEW NOTHING ABOUT UNTIL WE FINALLY RECEIVED A POWER CORD FOR THE BOAT FROM BLACKBEARD A MONTH AND A HALF AFTER THE PURCHASE. DESPITE WHAT "ANYONE" SAYS AT THE KINGSTON STORE, WE WERE TOLD BY JORDAN THAT HE HAD CHECKED THE BOAT HIMSELF AND THE "ONLY" THING HE COULD FIND THAT DIDN'T WORK WAS THE HELM STEREO AND THE BOAT WAS IN "PRISTINE" CONDITION ACCORDING TO HIM AND OTHERS AT THE KINGSTON STORE. Wow, been Blackbeard customer for years, my dad purchased his boat in Tulsa when I was kid and purchased mine there and live in Texas. Always had Kingston location service my boat. Saw they was having issues and was in middle purchase new skeeter when Steve purchased the company and couldn’t buy boat due to transactions going on. I had Blackbeard to 300 hour service in Dec, Jan.23-24 time frame cost me 1000.00, I had scheduled to take boat to Kingston on Sat. And stay with it while they complete the 100 hour service, it’s a zx250 with a SHO 250. Fun snd sun priced me at 600.00 but I’d have to drop it off and they have it for week or two, luckily Blackbeard Kingston could do it and they always serviced it. With new owner and as I was told top TEC was working on it. I stayed around and was told should be fine by noon, noon came around to check on it and was tolerated went to lunch and be back at 1:00. Ok cool so I waited. 1:30 was pulled out front Dale rings it up and says 1249.00 I was like wait what? In shock, so upset. That’s double what other marine dealer charge for 100 hour service. I told Dale he didn’t care that was their price I’m like what they do. Had fun and sun on phone which they replied Blackbeard probably charged you for water pump install which is not part of 100 hour service, Dale said they did and fun and sun said it would be 1000.00 if they did that job. So was upset they took it up on themselves to replace water pump install which just had on the 300 hr service and not required on 100 hour service by Yamaha, I was mad. But had to pay it. I go get the boat and notice my grease inserts are dry, Yamaha 100 hour service states they grease the inserts, I walk in tell Dale 1249.00 they suppose to grease the inserts? Oh he didn’t do it? I’m like nope, so Dale gets grease gun walks out does it. I drive 2.5-2 hours back home, I look over the engine and noticed two bolts not screwed in all the way or tighten. I was mad! What else this top TEC didn’t do? So tighten the bolts to lower unit. Took my kowlin off and noticed they tore the seal and didn’t put it back. Also looked like the fuel filter was not changed, the prop nut and Carter pin was not touched cause same way it was before do they didn’t check properly seal. My steering blocks was put on wrong. Now I have to get it all rechecked make sure the 100 hour service was done and other bolts was put back and tighten. 1249.00 double what other stores charge you think top TEC would complete the job. I was totally shocked under new ownership this was the quality of work and price I paid. 😔😔 better think twice next time coming here again or buying my next 100,000.00 boat. Should had been 600 750 max for the job. Oh was charged 5 hour labor so I paid the TEC 150.00 fir him to take his hour lunch! Does that seem fair? Anyway. Is what it is. So hope this helps when you think of service work or new boat under new ownership the quality you pay for. I left messages. And will follow up Monday. See the response I get, I paid cash. They should give me 600 back. I’m nervous to ever have them touch my boat again! Glad I ease the bolts. Can you imagine what could had happen on the lake! Finally got a chance to talk to Clint, General manager. Told him everything that had happened, he even saw the pictures, long story short apologized and said we will get better and that’s pretty much it. No let me pay you back for water pump kit they was not suppose to charge that’s NOT in the 100 hour service. So guess he thinks they are on the right direction. Anyway will not go back there. He even had the gall to tell me if I came back it be better! Lol really?? They for sure don’t care and do not stand behind their work. So spread the word please, you want poor quality work and double the charge go see them.!! What’s so funny he compared his cost to Florida! And says he believes they are fair. LMAO. Mr. Clint this isn’t Florida! This is TEXAS!! Found out today they broke my bilage pump and didn’t fix it but left it. I just had it replaced recently.

Bought a new pontoon. Have to say Jordan the sales guy was best salesperson I’ve ever dealt with in my entire life. I’ve never been treated as well as these people. They took us on a test drive and answered any questions we had and the manager came and introduced himself and even the financing Dept was super easy!

THE "ONLY" CONTACT WE HAD WITH CLINT WAS IN PERSON AT THE KINGSTON STORE AND OVER THE PHONE. CLINT KNEW ABOUT WHAT ISSUES WE FOUND WITH THE BOAT AFTER PURCHASE AND SENT A GUY HERE WITH A NEW POWER CORD AND THE GUY KNEW NOTHING ABOUT ANYTHING HE WAS SUPPOSED TO ADDRESS OR FIX. JORDAN TOLD US THE KEY IN THE FUSE PANEL WAS SUPPOSED TO FIT THE HATCH DOOR AND IT WILL NOT EVEN FIT IN THE KEY SLOT OF THE DOOR, CLINT'S SUGGESTION WAS, JUST FIND A LOCKSMITH, THE GENERATOR WOULD NOT START PER THE GUY THEY SENT TO EUFAULA AND HE SAID THE GENERATOR NEEDED A NEW CARBURETOR WHICH , HE SAID, IS OBSOLETE, I COULD GO ON AND ON ABOUT THE THINGS WE'VE COME ACROSS INCLUDING THE A/C AND HEATER BUT NOT EVEN SURE OF WHAT WE HAVEN'T COME ACROSS THAT DOESN'T WORK BECAUSE THE GENERATOR DOESN'T WORK AND WE HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO TAKE THE BOAT OUT OF THE DOCK WE PARKED IT IN SINCE WE BOUGHT IT, SO PER CUSTOMER SERVICE MEMBER, WHOEVER THAT IS, THE BOAT WAS PURCHASED "AS IS" AND NOTHING WILL BE REPAIRED, SO WITH THESE FACTS, I GIVE BLACKBEARD A BIG FAT """"0""""" FOR A REPUTABLE COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH. I WOULD HIGHLY ADVISE ANYONE LOOKING TO PURCHASE A BOAT FROM BLACKBEARD MARINE, JUST KNOW, THAT THESE INDIVIDUALS WILL TELL YOU "WHATEVER IT TAKES" TO MAKE A SALE AND THIS IS MY OPINION ACCORDING TO MY HUSBAND'S PERSONAL EXPERIENCE AND MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH THIS GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS.

Wow, been Blackbeard customer for years, my dad purchased his boat in Tulsa when I was kid and purchased mine there and live in Texas. Always had Kingston location service my boat. Saw they was having issues and was in middle purchase new skeeter when Steve purchased the company and couldn’t buy boat due to transactions going on. I had Blackbeard to 300 hour service in Dec, Jan.23-24 time frame cost me 1000.00, I had scheduled to take boat to Kingston on Sat. And stay with it while they complete the 100 hour service, it’s a zx250 with a SHO 250. Fun snd sun priced me at 600.00 but I’d have to drop it off and they have it for week or two, luckily Blackbeard Kingston could do it and they always serviced it. With new owner and as I was told top TEC was working on it. I stayed around and was told should be fine by noon, noon came around to check on it and was tolerated went to lunch and be back at 1:00. Ok cool so I waited. 1:30 was pulled out front Dale rings it up and says 1249.00 I was like wait what? In shock, so upset. That’s double what other marine dealer charge for 100 hour service. I told Dale he didn’t care that was their price I’m like what they do. Had fun and sun on phone which they replied Blackbeard probably charged you for water pump install which is not part of 100 hour service, Dale said they did and fun and sun said it would be 1000.00 if they did that job. So was upset they took it up on themselves to replace water pump install which just had on the 300 hr service and not required on 100 hour service by Yamaha, I was mad. But had to pay it. I go get the boat and notice my grease inserts are dry, Yamaha 100 hour service states they grease the inserts, I walk in tell Dale 1249.00 they suppose to grease the inserts? Oh he didn’t do it? I’m like nope, so Dale gets grease gun walks out does it. I drive 2.5-2 hours back home, I look over the engine and noticed two bolts not screwed in all the way or tighten. I was mad! What else this top TEC didn’t do? So tighten the bolts to lower unit. Took my kowlin off and noticed they tore the seal and didn’t put it back. Also looked like the fuel filter was not changed, the prop nut and Carter pin was not touched cause same way it was before do they didn’t check properly seal. My steering blocks was put on wrong. Now I have to get it all rechecked make sure the 100 hour service was done and other bolts was put back and tighten. 1249.00 double what other stores charge you think top TEC would complete the job. I was totally shocked under new ownership this was the quality of work and price I paid. 😔😔 better think twice next time coming here again or buying my next 100,000.00 boat. Should had been 600 750 max for the job. Oh was charged 5 hour labor so I paid the TEC 150.00 fir him to take his hour lunch! Does that seem fair? Anyway. Is what it is. So hope this helps when you think of service work or new boat under new ownership the quality you pay for. I left messages. And will follow up Monday. See the response I get, I paid cash. They should give me 600 back. I’m nervous to ever have them touch my boat again! Glad I ease the bolts. Can you imagine what could had happen on the lake!

Finally got a chance to talk to Clint, General manager. Told him everything that had happened, he even saw the pictures, long story short apologized and said we will get better and that’s pretty much it. No let me pay you back for water pump kit they was not suppose to charge that’s NOT in the 100 hour service. So guess he thinks they are on the right direction. Anyway will not go back there. He even had the gall to tell me if I came back it be better! Lol really?? They for sure don’t care and do not stand behind their work. So spread the word please, you want poor quality work and double the charge go see them.!! What’s so funny he compared his cost to Florida! And says he believes they are fair. LMAO. Mr. Clint this isn’t Florida! This is TEXAS!! Found out today they broke my bilage pump and didn’t fix it but left it. I just had it...

May 14 purchased 2010 Tige RZ4 from Blackbeard in Kingston. was told boat was lake ready meaning fully serviced. Upon test drive the ballast system& stereo system did not work, something was going on with the tower and computer system. Management agreed to get these things fixed at their expense. So we signed finance documents knowing the agreement they had made with us. End of June still no finance paperwork. Called bank they no record of us,called black beard again. Finance said they could not find the title to the boat. Told I would get a call back, 3 wks go by, no call. July still no paperwork. Call again. Still no title. Few days go by no call back. We reach out to our salesman, next morning they find the title. I told them we had barely got to use the boat cuz we were facing issues with clank noise by motor, shifting issues from forward to reverse. also having trouble starting. Black beards F&I guy agreed to fix these issues since we had so many issues w/them. Signed redone paperwork on 7/20. boat did not go out again until August 8. Tried to unload boat off the trailer, hard time starting then would not go into reverse. dropped the boat off August 10,they said they would get right on it. Called August 14,no call back. Called August 17 andĀ nothing in the system for it. Told would get call back,no call back. Call August 20, Got a call back that afternoon from service who was VERY rude. Said they had just received the RO and before they could even look at the boat I would have to agree to a 2 hour diagnostic time of $226 . I said this was an issue that was supposed to have been addressed before and we should not be responsible for the diagnostic. He told me I would have to take that up with management. August 21 went in to speak to the general manager.He let us know that there have had a lot of issues going on and he would address it. He would cover the diagnostic time and help us get this resolved after all of the issues we had faced along the way. He also let us know that he had only been there 7 weeks as he was brought in to fix a bad situation. He also told us that he knew of multiple boats that they sold never went through the shop nor PDI’d. He agreed if it was multiple issues not worth our time he would be glad to trade us out of the boat or buy it back. August 25 the GM calls me says the transmission is out in the boat. Said he would be glad to help w/costs as it was going to cost 4-5k. I was given an est to fix the boat with a refurbished transmission, FULL service/maintenance and 25 hours of labor total cost of $5750. Ask why a full service, the GM said ā€œwell we don’t know the service interval of the boatā€. WAIT we were told it would have a full service before purchase?also told it would take 2-3 months for the repairs. Told by the GM since you guys are experienced boat owners you could just drive it without a reverse to use for it the rest of the summer. Multiple emails back and forth with the new GM trying to get a resolution. Told him August 29 we would just be picking up the boat. I asked the GM to give my DAD copies of my paperwork. They did not. I just got them 9/1! At time of pickup we noticed 2 of our stereo speakers were taken out and missing. We found the speakers under the hull. They had no explanation for this. Asked for service records, none found. Filters were rusted and looked like they had never been changed. We assumed and never checked them at pickup as we took the word of the dealership it was lake ready and all of that had been done.Ā  The GM refused to come out and discuss all of the issues with us until he was made to come out there. He said ā€œ well I don’t know what you want me to do about it. You bought a used boat. ā€œ He also said we were offered extended warranty and declined. OF WHICH WE WERE NEVER OFFERED. Blackbeard did not stick to their word and now I have a boat that most likely will not run the rest of the year.
