As I sit here writing this review I'm actually on the bench waiting to play the next hole. How do I have time to write a review you might ask; it's due to the fact the course is too rude to disclose an outing when I made my tee time and the group in front of me is too slow to let me play through, and I've asked so let's cover that topic now. This was one of the worst rounds I've ever played since I started golfing 20 years ago. I understand you're in the business to make money but come on people disclose the outing; I would have book the tee time for Sunday instead, you still would have got my money regardless but withholding information like that is bulls*hit to put it mildly. To make me play the front 9 twice was a second hot topic that should be addressed. Listen; courses... when you modify anything or lie under the pretense that we get to play the "normal" layout of the course we should play at discount rates instead of your "normal" rates. I really had my heart set on playing here because it's been 5-7 years but I can't find it in myself to ever play here again. The ONLY positive this place had going for it was the course was in...
Read moreThis course has great bones and a lot of potential. They are struggling as many right now.
Fairways have some really rough areas, according to them its from flooding. Rough is hard pan, dry and sparse grass. Because apparently we're in a drought.
That said the greens roll true and quick. If you want it to hold the green though you better hit it high and land it soft.
The design as a ton of potential with a few minor tweaks. An old dead tree directly in front of your teebox isn't really a realistic challenge. Im all for having to play a short club to not run out a fairway or hit into trouble. But having to punch out on a tee shot to avoid the massive mostly dead tree really isn't well thought out.
Staff is super friendly.
Carts are a little dated and the course could use some cart path repairs (its not total CP and it's gravel) as some of the areas will loosen your fillings.
All in all its a fine course. Its a little overpriced at the current...
Read moreFound this course a few years ago, my how it's went downhill. I understand the weather plays a huge role in conditions, but the greens were not in good shape. A lot if it was from players not repairing ball marks. I called for a tee time, told the person who answered that I was coming as a single. His first words were "I don't allow MY singles to just buzz around other groups". We'll, you don't habe a ranger on the course so if a group decides to let me thru, I'm not going to say "no, I'm not allowed to go by because the pro shop guy said so". Second, I stopped for a drink and food at the turn. Got a hot dog, it wsd about the size of my ring finger in diameter, and a CAN of Pepsi. $6!!!!! So basically $3 for a can?????????? Good lord. I'll go back because I like the layout but something...
