Madison Flower Shop & Garden Center — Local services in Madison

Perhaps the flower shop is good, but the landscaping side could use some customer service improvements.

First off, I emailed the business requesting an appointment for a landscape project/estimate proposal and was informed that it would take two weeks for a response.

Second, when an appointment was made they forgot about it and did not show up. When I called, someone scrambled and did come by and we discussed the project and options. One week later an estimate (ambiguous) was provided:

a. did not set forth the measurements as discussed b. did not provide alternative options to shrubs/trees for privacy and c. had my name wrong.

I ended up going with another landscaper who was $3000.00 less expensive, was prompt/responsive and set forth measurements, materials, service to be performed and language in the estimate/proposal that was not ambiguous.

Perhaps this was a one off, but not showing up for an appointment, forgetting a potential customers name and being ambiguous in estimates /proposal doesn't bode well with me.

Unfortunate, as it is a beautiful garden center and perhaps it is a busy time of year, but it didn't start off well...

This little gem of a shop offers a vast array of gorgeous fresh flowers, live plants, garden supplies and above all kindness, professionalism and attention to detail.

We’ve been patrons here for five years now since moving town and have had Donna put together flowers for many big events in our family, including our daughter’s dance recital every year. The little magical bouquet is always stunning, fresh and the perfect accompaniment to her special day. Donna can always work within your budget and I can honestly say I’ve been delighted every time.

Madison Beach Hotel recommended this flower shop since they were a local business and would help deliver these exactly when I needed them for a proposal/engagement.
