We went to see Celestial Falls by Tygh Valley. We decided to continue east on Hwy 216 aka Sherar's Bridge Hwy. This highway will bring you up beside the Deschutes Rivers. You can cross over Sherar's Bridge and then turn right on Deschutes River road and have a very nice drive along the river. We went in September, the day was low 70's and crystal clear skies. People were doing fishing and rafting on the river. The loop drive will take you into Maupin where you can catch Hwy 197 again.
