June 9th Work is finally complete.
June 3rd Supervisor came out. Problem resolved. Apologized numerous times for the pain this whole process has been. Still feel like I should have just gone with the local family owned business. Personal they need to revamp their scheduling situation. If technician Charlie has appointment A,B,C,D scheduled and only gets to A and B then C and D shouldn't be pushed out to a week later. Granted I know that will cause a snowball effect but this unit was installed on the 21st and I called 4 hours after install that I had an issue. Just happy it is finally resolved.
May 31st Technician came out to install the mitigation box and new thermostat. Airhandler still runs constantly. Technician did find an issue with the breakers on the unit and replaced while he was here. So far Marcus has been the most helpful.
May 29th Technician showed up to install UV light. COMPLETE. Said the air handler needs a mitigation box due to the new refrigerant being propane based and that is why it never shuts off. Scheduled me for Saturday to have that installed. Very nice training manager spoke with me about everything going on. Extended my club care plan for 2 more years no extra cost and may potentially upgrade the thermostat if it is the issue with the unit running. Feeling a little better just not happy about the constant rescheduling and air handler still running but progress. Installation supervisor is scheduled to come speak with me Tuesday about everything also.
May 28 the saga continues....... Yet again rescheduled after being assured someone would get out here today. Told them to schedule me for a rip out and refund and I'm going to have someone else come install a new system. Now they can't schedule that even though I am not satisfied per their AirSouth Guarantee. LIES, GREED AND NO CARE FOR THEIR CUSOTMERS!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY!!
May 27th part 2 Well it happened voicemail at 841pm to call them about my appointment. Big surprise they want to reschedule me for next week. Ummmm no thank you!! Explained to the scheduling employee that I have been rescheduled almost everyday since the installation on the 21st. They sound so helpful on the phone but after all this feels like smoke being blown up my butt. There is no satisfaction gaurentee and their ad when you call is very false. Will update tomorrow when they call to reschedule again. Stay tuned.
May 27th Got a call for them to reschedule me yet again so I asked to speak with a supervisor. Not sure if she actually was but when I mentioned I was to the point where I want them to just come uninstall and I would get another company to install a new system all of the sudden they will have someone out this afternoon. We will see.....not going to get my hopes up. Again still frustrated issue with inside unit still running and never shutting off is still going. DO NOT LET THEM HOOK YOU INTO THEIR WORRY FREE GUARENTEE OR MEMBERSHIP.
May 26th I was rescheduled for the third time now. Supposedly they are coming on Tuesday May 27th. I do not have high hopes that they will actually show up. This has been such an inconvenience for me being that I have not been able to be in office for numerous days waiting for a technician to show up. Inside air handler is still running non stop. About ready to have them come get it, refund the money back to the loan company and call the local family owned AC guy to come install a new HVAC system.
May 23rd UPDATE 2 DAYS LATER: INSIDE UNIT HAS NOT STOPPED RUNNING SINCE INSTALL. HAVE BEEN RESCHEDULED TWICE NOW TO HAVE SOMEONE COME OUT AND LOOK AT IT. HAVE 2 OTHER APPOINTMENTs WITH THEM TO INSTALL UV LIGHT AND REPAIR/REINSTALL THE DOOR FRAME THAT WAS TAKEN OFF TO INSTALL THE UNIT. NOT HAPPY AND REALLY WISH I HAD GONE WITH THE LOCAL FAMILY OWNED BUSINESSS!! PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR ESTIMATE AND DONT PAY THE EXTRA $720 FOR THE "CARE CLUB MEMBERSHIP" THAT SUPPOSEDLY GIVES PRIORTY SCHEDULING!!!
May 21st Chris was my installation technician for my new HVAC...
Read moreI had an extremely frustrating experience with this company while replacing my AC and heating unit, and I would not recommend them.
First, they installed the wrong AC brand—not what I was promised. To make matters worse, the unit was dented upon installation. Instead of resolving the issue quickly, the installation became a drawn-out ordeal. What was supposed to take a few hours stretched across multiple visits:
-The AC had to be reinstalled three times before they got it right. -The heater had to be redone twice due to issues. -I also had to spend an additional day coordinating attic entry repairs because of their poor planning. -I’m not even mentioning the multiple calls I had to make just to get them to fix their mistakes -the mess they left behind in my house.
After multiple failed attempts, they finally installed the correct Trane system as originally promised, but by that point, I had completely lost trust in this company. Throughout the process, it became clear that they attempted to manipulate and trick me, possibly as part of a scam, hoping I wouldn’t notice the brand switch or the poor installation.
This process was a major disruption to my busy work schedule and daily life, yet the company took no real responsibility for the delays or the stress they caused. I left with no heat one night when the weather was seriously cold in February.
They failed to offer any price adjustment despite their repeated mistakes, leaving me with no choice but to fight just to receive what I had originally paid for.
The only positive aspect of this entire process was the technician, William, who worked diligently and went out of his way to push for my attic entry repair to be scheduled sooner. However, good individual effort does not make up for an overall lack of professionalism, accountability, and trustworthiness from the company itself.
If you value honesty, efficiency, and a company that stands behind its promises, look elsewhere. I am seriously considering filing a BBB complaint to document my experience.
Update after the company’s response: After my initial review, the company responded, claiming they provided an $800 discount as a goodwill gesture. To clarify, this was not a post-installation discount—it was part of my original quote before any of these issues occurred.
Additionally, when I requested a reasonable price adjustment for the multiple delays and mistakes, the company initially offered $750. However, when I pushed for fair compensation for the time and inconvenience caused, the owner withdrew the offer and accused me of “scamming” them—a completely unfair and misleading characterization of my request.
I regret choosing this company because another reputable company had offered a similar price for the same service, but I went with this company instead, expecting a smoother experience. Unfortunately, I am now stuck with them due to their so-called “worry-free” warranty, which gives me little choice but to deal with them if any future issues arise.
I stand by my experience: I simply fought to receive what I originally paid for after multiple failed attempts, unnecessary delays, and poor customer service. Beyond the financial burden, I also experienced unnecessary mental stress because of how I was treated—right before an important event in my life.
I hope I will never have any issues with the products, as I would not want to go through another experience with this company. I would caution anyone considering this company to be aware of how they handle...
Read moreSeveral years ago, I found AirSouth while trying to have an HVAC system installed in an older home that had never had central heat and air. Airsouth was the most reasonable price around. I was pleased with communication in the beginning and the install was relatively fast and painless. There were a few things that I wasn't 100% pleased for, but at the time, I believed I "got what I paid for" and was just happy to have actual HVAC I could afford (with ceiling vents that almost all of them were put in with no sense of squaring up with the nearby walls, as well as them ripping the paper off the sheetrock on the ceiling around multiple vents and telling me to just "paint over it").
They had to cut out the entire ceiling inside of a closet to get the install in my attic and never replaced the ceiling with anything (they said their carpenter would come out, but it could be a while - this was nearly 5 years ago, still have a giant hole in the ceiling).
I continued to use them because my warranty was with them, and they talked me into paying for a yearly program where they would come out twice a year to do regular maintenance, check-ups, and cleaning of the HVAC unit. These check-ups did not happen with much routine. I also recently found out from an anonymous maintenance employee from AirSouth that for the past several years, potentially no one has been actually servicing my HVAC, most of them have just been taking pictures of their knees and the inside of their work trucks to fulfill their system requirement of showing pictures of their maintenance. I have been told that they have cleaned things and checked everything out by every technician that has come here, and allegedly many of these technicians actually had no idea what to do with the unit their own company installed and just stood around for an appropriate amount of time before giving me the "all good" and leaving.
The final straw was we had to call them for electrical services after lightning struck our driveway and caused for wiring outside our house to arc and needed to be replaced. They came out and fixed the problem in a timely manner, but a few months later we suddenly had electric issues again and we called a local electrician who discovered the "fix" AirSouth did to the wiring was complete garbage, not even close to up-to-code or safe, and also proved AirSouth charged me for specific things in this electrical fix that did NOT exist. We have contacted them dozens of times and asked for a refund for the past several MONTHS and they keep saying it's approved, but the refund never happens.
Between paying for their maintenance program to find out we have a "closed system" mini-split HVAC unit that no one has done anything with for years, and the shoddy wiring, we have considered legal action.
I used to preach the word of AirSouth to everyone I knew when they were smaller, quick, prompt, and efficient. There were nit-picky things in the beginning I should have paid more attention for, but their prices were worth it. Not anymore. I have gone to everyone I have told about AirSouth and encouraged them to change to some other HVAC technician as I believe AirSouth has changed to caring about profits more than people and their...
