Hill Farms — Local services in Mahoning Township

Very disappointment this was my first time coming to this location our family was very excited for the real tree experience. We first stopped into the gift shop. I did have my 9 month old baby with who was sleeping in her car seat mind you she was covered with the stroller shield, now she was fine before we entered the gift shop but something must of irritated her so she was coughing here and there instead of being professional one of the employees were given my family the side look and gossiping about the situation to another employee. I know with covid everything is a bit different but it how the situation was handled by staff made my family very uncomfortable, needless to say she came over to me and stated "we cannot have that in here with covid" she address the situation wrongly and in front of other costumers. Also after we left the gift shop she was no longer coughing . This situation made me very upset and I will never come to this location we ended up leaving and not even getting a tree but found the perfect tree somewhere else moral of the story treat people with respect especially if...

We started going to Hill Farms about 7 years ago. I was so impressed with the variety of trees I could choose from as well as all of the lovely items in the gift shop! Over the years, I have learned many lessons through Hill Farms. I have learned the various types of trees they have and which us works perfect for our home. I have learned that I can pre-order my wreath for my front door and it will be ready for pick up on Black Friday, when we get our tree every year and be more beautiful than the last. Most importantly, I have learned the impact Hills has had on our family. The kids yearn for this yearly tradition to get our tree and explore the shop. I admit, we are about 1 hour away from this farm, and we have tried others in the past 2 years just to be closer to home and I have had nothing but disappointment. I hope Hill Farms will become the tradition of my children when they start their own families. The people that work there are all very friendly and helpful EVERY. SINGLE. TIME....

My family and I love Hill Farms and look forward every year to making our annual pilgrimage from the Philly suburbs to select and cut the perfect trees. It's now not only my husband and me, but our son and daughter-in-law and 4 of our grandchildren. Even our dog used to come with us. We've always been thrilled with the trees we were able to find there, they have such a large and unusual variety of beautiful trees. We've always gotten a Nordmann Fir or Turkish Fir. I've never seen those varieties anywhere else. Our grandchildren love the hot chocolate and soft pretzels and our day is never complete without a visit to the wonderful gift shop.
