Just went through the most mind boggling, negative experience ever with this company, which is just 2 people - Eytan Levon & Kate Marsh Pokras. These people are living in a little, stuck up Malibu bubble, & it felt like the Twilight Zone dealing with them.

I waited a month for my product after paying them a huge amount of money.

The day of scheduled delivery at 9AM the city was paving the roads therefore I could not access the home, nor could they, from a stated 7AM to 5PM. I informed this company by voicemail & emails at 527AM to cancel delivery for the day, & to reschedule for any other day at their convenience.

At 730AM they emailed saying too late, their driver was already in Oceanside having breakfast & would be attempting delivery, & would leave on porch if no one was home.

The driver somehow managed to weasel his way to the porch, decided no one was home, did not leave the product there like Kate / Eytan had said, & then messaged me that I would have to pay $200 more for re-delivery, & basically then proceeded to hold my payment & product hostage for the next 2 weeks while we were at a stalemate over who was at fault for the breakdown in communication. Clearly their system is bad - if a customer alerts them to an unforeseen weather / construction condition, they should get that info to the driver before they leave. The driver obviously had not left Malibu to go to Oceanside (2 hour drive MAX) by 527AM when I alerted them. During this standoff, they said things like I should be grateful they aren't charging me a restocking fee (since the product wasn't delivered & they continued to hold my product due to their own fault, not mine).

Eventually, after a week of holding item & payment hostage, I caved & authorized an additional $75 to be charged to compromise for the re-delivery, & asked that they also compromise for the rest since their lack of quality system / is what was to blame for this. I expressed my strong desire & preference to have this product, & to not cancel my order. However, a week of silence went by, then they chose to be very short with me, not show a shred of goodwill gesture, not accommodate the customer, & ultimately result in maximum waste of time & disappointment by canceling my order. Over a measly $125 difference that they were too petty to pay to resolve this order, they chose instead to stick it to me, not let me have the item, cancel my order, & to bring this negative publicity to their business. Would you really want to give your money to people making insane decisions like that?

I much rather preferred to have my product, instead of having to waste even more time writing this & other reviews elsewhere, but they really provide horrible customer service & do not care to...

My wife transported a piece for Malibu Design and they stiffed her on the import tax after she paid it so it could be delivered to their client in Canada. Quality of work may be fine but integrity is low. I wouldn't do business with this...
