We went to see Chris Young. It would have been a really good concert if the crowd had been into it. Instead the crowd seemed divided into little clicks and they all chatted through the entire performance. It was really distracting. Chris sat down on the stage and engaged the audience. He explained how a song came to be. He had a devastating loss of someone dear to him and how it inspired the next song. It was a very intimate moment and the majority of the crowd wasn't even paying attention. The lack of applause and feedback from the crowd was lame as hell. I love concerts and now that our venues are welcoming top artists from all genres of music, we need to get excited and let them know they are appreciated. Why would any body on that stage want to come back? The sound was louder than it needed to be and Chris kept getting drowned out depending on the bass line. The mid range needed to be lowered some with adjustments to ensure clarity and smooth vocal distortion. Something like that. Chris Young is easy to listen to and his voice is rich and soothing. "Smooth like butter" my Aunt said!! Thank you Chris for stopping at the Delaware County Fair. I hope to catch another performance later in your tour. True fans make sure you know they are in the audience. They make sure to let you know how much we enjoy your music. We get excited and the appreciation flows. The BBQ sandwich served by CharBooms was excellent!!! You have a choice of pork or chicken served on a giant bun with BBQ or just rib rub. It...
Read moreThey either need to inform families where they are allowed to sit, or train/explain to the box holders who "police" the placard area how to treat people. Instead of remembering the fair as a good time, with cool loud vehicles racing, my children bring up the, "drunk man that yelled at * for being in some mans seat." We weren't told kindly to move, we were bullied out, our 5 year old was the target of this mans lashing out. To ensure our other children's safety, and keep the chaos to a minimum, respect for surrounding families-we moved without fuss, and without defending ourselves from such disrespect. Found out later he is part of the committee that runs the fair. So, even after making a complaint, we arent too hopeful it will be handled at all, even with the response they'd bring it to the board. $40 of family fun, HA...ruined by an intoxicated power tripped jerk, who attacked a child and hovered over me while I nursed my 1 week old baby.
Smoking needs to be addressed on the grounds. People smoking EVERYWHERE. If we can be verbally attacked over seating, surely they can crack down on people lighting up wherever they feel like it, regardless if children or anyone with health issues around.
If you want people to keep coming back. If you want Manchester to be a town people want to come to and think highly of, teach the staff, committee, board members, volunteers WHOEVER is going to be working the fair how to treat PAYING families. How to approach situations...
Read moreThe stuff to do there is awesome. The people who help run it are not so awesome. One tried to boss my 5 year old around and he was just sitting down nicely. I'm the first to jump on my kids about stuff. They dont seem to care about the people who go. I love the events it's great family fun. One bad apple can ruin a bunch remember that. The worker who intimidated my 5 year old because he was sitting in the wrong spot come on hes 5. He moved right away out of the spot and he still yelled at him. Way to ruin a good night and he had beer so working and drinking. Plus they need to do something about people smoking. We have 1 week old baby. Get it together take better care and better people. Your running a...
