I was at the little gift shop/quilt shop next door to Mud Creek Hogan. Country Road 9 is a really cute eclectic shop and is a great place to pick up something special for the special people in your life. They have a small but nice selection of women's T's, sweatshirts, jackets, sweaters, leather handbags and duffle bags perfect for giving. They have giftable earrings, candles, cute kitchen items and so much more. They are also a supplier of quality fabric, sewing and quilt notions for the novice or experienced quilter. Having looked through several tourist shops with native crafts...I was feeling disappointed (due to the insane costs)...then I happened upon Mud Creek Hogan!
They have so many native crafts, with info on the native artist! Sand paintings, pottery, jewelry, pine needle baskets, hand carved stone animals, etc....so many options! And prices were extremely reasonable!!!!!
This would be the number one place I'd recommend someone stop for hand made native crafts. About 13 minute drive...
