Starion Sports Complex — Local services in Mandan

I attended the preseason Bismarck Bobcats hockey games. The Starion Sports Complex is a very nice facility with plenty of free parking, a comfortable lobby area with a concession window and a separate stand inside the ice rink for adult beverages.

The ice rink has seating on one side only providing good views. However, the steps are quite steep which may be treacherous or intimidating for some to climb. One is allowed to stand on the floor behind the goalies on each end...

I went to watch the Dakota Star Gymnastics class. The area is clean, well kept up there are 2 skate rinks and an out door stadium for football, soccer, track and field. There is a snack bar inside the building. The gymnastics area is spacious there a lot of coaches for each class the kids enrolled seem to love...

I guess Mandan hates visiting football fans. You have to walk through the building, down the bleachers, and around the entire football field/track just to get to the visiting bleachers. Once there you will not have concessions, bathrooms, or handicap accessibility. Its all stairs. Very poor design Mandan...
