THEY KEEP BETTAS IN SMALL BOWLS AND LET THEM DIE... Bettas are generally very happy fish when given the right food, enough tannin(to darken the water), keeping up with a clean take, putting a heater, and air filter, to keep oxygen, algea, food, bacteria clean. They tell you not to put ANYTHING IN with them. Lie! Even a 1 gallon tank you could put some of the smaller snails(NOT ASSASIN SNAILS). You can even get them in different colors to add some more pop to your tank. All I'm saying is they need to change their set up or NOT SELL FISH AT ALL! ESPECIALLY BETTAS! Withing three months of going there I've found at LEAST 6 dead bettas. Some babies that have been in there awhile.... algea, and plastic. I wish my phone wouldn't of broke because I had videos... Places that keep them in a container is cruel. Especially right next to each other. Oh yeah, THEY ONLY SELL MALES! Just to make more money because more production need to be bought due to the fact that they will fight each other. Tell me why I look at Bubbles, my oldest male. He has vertical stripes and long fins. Bleau was different and I was questioning them about her shorter fins and different pattern. ,"Oh, don't worry we only sell males. Okay, so why does Bubbles have a vertical pattern; and Bleau happens to have a horizontal pattern? So now this baby is constantly making bubble nests(very rare, males tend to make them). This can cause depression, and agression if messing with the nest. For example cleaning the tank out.. Good thing I know fish good enough to now to fill her tank with purified water, and with clean hands, I make sure to carefully splash some water where the bubble nest is stuck, due to water evaporation, etc. The food given is by product meal... Neither have been happy with the three different foods I had gotten. I went on Amazon and chose Ultra Fresh Shrimp Delight Betta pro fish pellets because it is natural, has probiotics, and is 50% of organic shrimp, sword prawns, and okiami paste. Along with 7% of organic spinach, spirulina, and of course, sea weed. They acted starved. There color is so bright and beautiful; their colors are still changing. So basically, if you want a fish. Make sure you know WHAT THEY NEED! Because those workers...

MANAGEMENT: This Meijer store is very VERY poorly managed, if you see a ad IN STORE that says buy $10 of cereal and get a free bowl...DON'T EVEN TRY IT, they will have to call the manager and they will have to see the ad for themselves AND THEN you can get one, I'm not even going to talk about buy 2 get 1 free!
SECURITY: This store has a horrible security system, I see many people get stopped going through the scanner, and they have to search their ENTIRE CART, this has happened to me SEVERAL TIMES, then they look through your ENTIRE RECEIPT! It will will take at least 15 Minutes before they FINALLY let you go!
EMPLOYEES: This is where the store REALLY GOES DOWNHILL, I was recently there looking at a Chromebook (Which by the way, is their ENTIRE COMPUTER SELECTION) and I was seeing how much RAM it had, how much space, and then a worker comes over to me and tells me that they are ONLY FOR DISPLAY! I mean REALLY?!?! If you want to know ANYTHING about it you would have to look up that EXACT MODEL and go into the specs since they only tell you its price!!
SELECTION: This is where I begin to cry...this store will only have ONE BRAND OF SOMETHING!!! You want black pants? Well guess what this is the ONLY BRAND WE HAVE! Want dress shoes? WELL WE ONLY HAVE DR. SCHOLLS!!! And their tech/art/toy/hardware/EVERYTHING EXCEPT FOOD selection is TINY!!! They just now are selling PS VRs, only 5 MONTHS LATER!! And they weren't just out of stock...ooh no, they didn't even have the price tag there!!
CLEANLINESS: Honestly, this is the only good thing about this store is that it is clean...and I don't have much to say about that...
I WOULD TAKE...
Read moreI'm only sharing a review for the way a certain situation was handled at this specific store. I am an avid meijer shopper and this is where we go for most, if not all, of our grocery shopping needs. Staff (most of the time) are very kind and friendly. Management needs some work when dealing with people who had their property damaged by employees though. A cart pusher was goofing around in the parking lot, slamming carts into the cart corral that I was parked next to. He ended up ramming 2-3 carts into my car while I was seated inside. Then ran off laughing. After a few minutes had gone by, I was assessing the damage and he approached me saying "excuse me miss, did I hit your car?" He then proceeded to tell me that he got stung by a bee. I requested to speak to a manager, as there was obvious damage to my car. They came outside, were not very helpful, and told me that they had never dealt with a situation like this but IF anything was going to be done... I would be called within 48 hours. No customer satisfaction card, nothing. Hardly even an apology. I still have yet to receive a phone call from the manager that was supposed to call me over a week ago. Luckily, Meijer Corporate called me on Tuesday and made things right. As a loyal meijer customer, I am extremely disappointed with how management at this particular store handles situations such as these. It is discouraging to feel like my car isn't even safe from employees in the parking lot of this establishment. If it wasn't for me witnessing it happen, nothing would...
