Final Review/Resolution: In all fairness, I wanted to give a follow up on this review. The storage facility is very secure and a good place for most people to store their goods. The hallways and common areas are very clean and well maintained. The water issues that I saw and thought damaged my sofa cushion was probably left over from the construction of the facilities. What we determined damaged my cushion was that it touched the galvanized metal wall. Marc has been fair to work through this issue with.

Original Review: It's a very secure place, however, water damaged my sofa while it was stored and they don't want to take responsibility yet. They say that they aren't responsible, but when damage comes from their facility or structure, they are responsible. I'll update this if and when they start discussing reimbursement.

Follow up: The owner Marc Goodin followed up with an email today basically saying that there was nothing wrong with his facility. However, my sofa had damage after it was removed. There were stains on the wall near the ceiling, but he's choosing to ignore this and saying that they have no responsibility. Please avoid doing business with Marc and Mansfield Self Storage. As an out-of-state student at UConn, my daughter was looking for storage near the school where she could pack her things away for the summer while she went back home to CA. And, as an out-of-state parent trying to help her from across the country, renting through Mansfield Self Storage was the best solution. They are a secure facility with indoor storage units, which is what we were looking for. They’re also located just off campus & are a quick drive down.

The rental process was super easy & straight forward, with no hidden fees or extra charges. I was able to reserve/book the unit online & everything was set for when my daughter moved out of her dorm in May. Then, when we came back last week to gather her things & move back to school, everything was seamless & easy. We were able to end our lease of the unit & the manager was super helpful. We will DEFINITELY be back & will use this storage facility whenever we need for the next few years. They make it so easy for students & their families! Five Stars...

Another very happy Husky parent here after renting a summer storage unit. We had not seen the facility prior to renting, so I didn't know what to expect, but Brian made the process so easy and straightforward. He was so helpful as we decided which size unit we needed and then went through all of the paperwork online. The unit was clean and spacious. We got a custom code that opened the gate to the entire facility, and we ordered a lock for our unit that Brian set inside for us before we arrived. Since we rented one of the exterior/non-climate-controlled units, I was worried that the summer rain and heat could take a toll on our stuff, but Brian assured me that everything would be safe and protected inside - and it was! No musty smells at all and no sign of water inside. And the location is only 10 minutes from campus.
