The host was super helpful. We were there on a genealogy research trip. When I told him what I was looking for, he produced a book with a captioned photo of my great grandfather, great grandmother, grandfather, several of his siblings and their spouses, all at the family home in Mantachie, taken c. 1905. He told me that my great grandfather was the first mayor of Mantachie. I asked where I might find documentation of my grandfather and grandmother's wedding, which I had been unable to find. He made a suggestion which later proved productive. He also found a picture, c. 1920, of my grandparent's first home in Guntown MS. The staff was incredibly helpful as we worked over several days in their library researching our family history. They even helped connect my husband up with a cousin he didn't know he had.
