I would give Maple Mountain health and wellness 10+ stars if I could! Going there was the best thing I have ever done for myself in my whole life. I highly recommend this facility for anyone dealing with trauma. The modalities of therapy offered were life-changing. I learned many new life skills, and have tools to bring home as I continue my healing and recovery journey. I felt like I was in a safe, beautiful home with the most loving, caring, and kind staff you could ever ask for. The best part is that I made lifelong friends that I will cherish forever. The entire program is incredibly well structured, the staff and therapists are very knowledgeable and kudos to the chefs, as the food was not only nutritious, but phenomenal! Aside from the educational groups that range from group processing, yoga Nidra, sound bath, nutrition and wellness, equine and music therapy (my personal favorites) DBT, CBT, and stress management were incredibly valuable, and I learned so much from these programs. Jen was the first person I spoke with, and I knew in our conversation that this was the right place for me. I was warmly welcomed right from the beginning, and knew this journey would be healing and memorable. We also were able to have a lot of fun with the experiential activities they carefully planned for us. Special kudos to Vikki, who went out of her way to give me the care and tools for me to maintain my recovery. I am forever grateful to every single person at Maple Mountain recovery. I researched the entire country for two weeks to find this place, and it was worth that time because they deserve every rave review they get! Super highly recommended and feel free to reach out if you have any questions! Thank you so much to everyone at MMR! I will never forget you and...
Read moreWe've all seen the headlines. We know the United States has an epidemic- but its not only with opioids. So many people are suffering from other addictions- alcohol, benzodiazepines, stimulants, etc. What about those suffering from trauma and mental illness? It's time we get over the stigma and treat these as illnesses like diabetes, cancer or lung disease. As with all chronic illnesses, treatment is hard. Hard for the client and hard for the treatment center/provider. Some people need emergency rooms. Some need inpatient hospital stays. Some require the criminal justice system. It would sure be nice if we could bring all of those treatment concepts together into one facility. Maple Mountain Recovery is striving to integrate all of these efforts. Maple Mountain Recovery is continuously educating it's staff and forging the way toward an even more accelerated program for the effective treatment of addiction and mental illness. Client feedback is so important in this endeavor - we know that statistics show if you have a bad experience somewhere you tell 5 people- and if you have a good experience somewhere, maybe you tell one person. I am grateful to those who have taken the time to post positive reviews, and highly encourage anyone who doesn't have a positive review to reach out to the staff at Maple Mountain and personally discuss your complaints. Please, talk to a live person and provide details in how Maple Mountain can improve. Clients continue to be admitted and their lives are often changed when they are discharged. Remember I said Maple Mountain wants to integrate treatment modalities? Feedback from previous clients is one of those ways the facility and the treatment improves. Be a part of the solution! Let's all end...
Read moreMMR is special. Admissions was customer-focused with answers, insurance and financial support and airport pickup. Treatment was individualized, including many modern therapy options to explore. Tech Staff, cleaning staff,, alumni, chefs, therapists, and case managers are very supportive, knowledgeable, effective and flexible as appropriate.
In its greatness, there is always room to continuously improve. I suggest simple modernizing of facility aesthetics; increase in client communication; increase in security; and confirming food safety protocol to take MMR to next level. Examples include:
Maintain client group text for timely announcements and key messaging. Centralize facility keys under lock box or similar for ease of use. Provide Case Managers simple printers and scanners in individual offices for efficiency and PII security. Reconfirm national and state food safety protocol is being followed. Turn loft into strict “quiet/study zone” with comfy chairs and footstools as well as (4) individual desks, chairs, desk lamp, outlet for focused study not in main walkways.
Hire Facilities Manager to handle items below: Additional/different lighting to brighten house. New carpet in garage/foyer/stairs entrance and theatre room. Modernize and simplify gym. Update back patio. Remove old / unused items; built area for cat items. Fix items that are broken or remove in house [e.g., clock, equipment) implement system to control summer flies
Thank you to the entire team!!...
