Moon Valley Nurseries — Local services in Marana

We had a fantastic experience with Moon Valley Nurseries, both in terms of their customer service and the quality of their product (two tall queen palms, in our case). For a while we debated whether it would be better to go to a nearby hardware store and get smaller/cheaper palms and plant them ourselves. We've tried other nurseries for our other potted palms and didn't feel very impressed. However, the trees at Moon Valley are so much bigger, look healthier, and you get so much more added value with Moon Valley's customer service. So if you're on the fence like we were, choose Moon Valley. Both Cole Bonahoom (designer / sales consultant) and George Alderton (planting crew manager) were wonderful. Cole came to our yard in the beginning of February to help us with the design, we tagged our trees at the nursery a few weeks later, and the trees were just planted today. The whole process was seamless. On planting day, George and his crew went above and beyond our expectations to ensure that the trees were oriented just the way we wanted them, despite the extra time and effort it took them. Our yard was not an easy dig, but they did great. We really couldn't be happier and will definitely return to Moon Valley for our next planting project.

UPDATE 4-11-2023 George and his planting crew came back to plant a third queen palm behind our waterfalls. They didn't feel that there was enough soil there on their first trip when they planted our other two trees, and so they came back on a different date with dirt to augment. Unfortunately, something happened to our original tree (they brought three new ones to our home so we could pick one) and the dirt they brought doesn't drain well (so we had to take it off the shared drip system with the other 2 trees in different soil). However, overall, it was still a 5 star experience since they tried their best to make it perfect without any additional cost to us. Richie Cohen (sales) and Rachel Gonzales (quality assurance) were amazingly helpful throughout the whole process. I'm sure all of the salespeople are great, but Richie has been by far the most helpful and patient whenever we have worked with him. We will definitely continue to seek him out when new planting...

Our adventure to Moon Valley Nurseries all started with a nasty letter by our HOA saying we needed MORE desert landscape in our yard. 😊 We had always driven by Moon Valley Nursey, but living Green Valley thought it was too far to shop. Well, we will never say that again as this will be the ONLY PLACE WE WILL SHOP from now on!!!!!!!!! First, hands down my wife and I felt very well taken care of throughout the whole experience of buying and delivering the trees from Moon Valley Nurseries. Without a doubt it is a family atmosphere with a no pressure to purchase. We felt very fortunate and blessed to have been paired with Carlos whose knowledge and skill of all foliage, trees, and cacti. We were super impressed by their selection, quality, and variety of all the native plants and cacti. They all had a great appearance and looked vibrant and green. All had some sign of new growth and were strong and healthy. An extremely well-organized nursery with multifarious plants and trees arranged by type and size. Our ride with sales rep Carlos around the nursery to select our trees and plants was educational and entertaining as he made us feel relax about the whole process. We ask a plethora of questions which he answered without any issues. On delivery day, the crew which was led by Jeremy arrived early this week during 100 + temperature to plant the three trees on the property. Jeremy and the Moon Vally Nurseries Team were Awesome as they took a lot of pride in their work and was very responsive to any issues with the planting of the trees. I highly recommend this crew. I cannot say this enough: Jeremy and his team were superb. They were able to turn the place into a wonderful oasis within an hour. The final product was amazing. It's night and day from what it was before. We've received lots of compliments. They've exceeded our expectations. Our yard looks phenomenal. Finally, you won't be disappointed if you decide to shop at Moon Valley. It is our new nursery for all our landscaping needs from now on. We always find excuses to make the drive from Green Valley to visit Moon Valley Nursery. Thanks again goes out to Carlos, Jeremy, and his crew for everything…. Cya next time around.

Can't say enough great things about our experience with Moon Valley! As soon as we stepped foot out of our car and saw the amazing size, extent, and quality of trees and plants, to be honest- our hearts sank. We took one look around and thought we would never be able to get the backyard we envisioned on our budget. Blake Chandler introduced himself and offered to show us around. We showed him some pictures of our yard, explained the types of plants/trees we were interested in, and asked how close we could get to that on our budget. Blake got us everything we wanted! He even provided us with some beautiful and helpful mock-up renderings using our yard photos the next day. Everyone at Moon Valley was extremely kind, friendly, knowledgable and professional, always patient with all our questions and requests. On delivery day we were just as lucky to have gotten George Alderton as our planting manager. He was also kind, very knowledgable, and efficient. He truly cared about our project going right and was able to turn our delivery only into an install to ensure everything was planted properly. This was an amazing outcome for us, the whole planting crew did a great job, and we're grateful to George for making it happen! Moon Valley operates like a well oiled machine, but happy to say it hasn't made them sacrifice their personable customer service. They will be a go-to for us from now...
