EVERYTHING! From the house we booked, the booking process, the stay...Everything was fantastic and as advertised. This was our first time as a group coming to the keys. I contacted Liz a year out and she was very helpful through the entire process. From the booking to arrival, through the stay, and check out. We stayed two weeks with two different groups of friends coming in. She arranged for cleaners to come in during the transition day to help turn the house for our second group of friends. Whenever we had questions, comments or any sort of reason to contact her she was attentive and very quick to reply AND respond. Many places might answer the phone or reply to your message, but with Liz, the response (action of) was immediate. Anytime I reached out I felt like I knew her for years and that we were longtime friends or even relatives. I can tell that she puts her heart and soul into wanting to make sure we, as guest, enjoy her home and have a stress free stay. She was easy to talk to, down to earth, and never once made us feel uneasy or hesitant to call her. I and the rest of my group, 8 the first week and 9 the second week, loved the home and enjoyed all the amenities. Since I was the trip planner I loved the home as well, but I fell in love with the hospitality that Liz provided more than the home. There are no words to truly do justice for my recommendation to book your vacation with Liz. You will be treated with kindness, attentiveness, and pleasantries all through the process. I wish we had had the opportunity to rent from Florida Keys Vacation Rentals with Liz Kohout at Captain Bob. We rented from a different company and when we arrived to our house found a leak that eliminated one of our bathrooms and filled the house with loud workers all day. I began desperately reaching out to other rental companies and Florida Keys Vacation Rentals was the only company that got back to me. She didn't have any of her own vacation rentals available (of course they were all booked - they're gorgeous), so instead she used her own Sunday morning to call friends with rental properties to try to find us a backup place so we could vacate our flooded rental (which is NOT one of her properties). When that didn't materialize, she started reaching out to rental companies on our behalf to try to find us a new rental property and gave us further advice on how to find a new place. She spent her weekend morning trying to help a stranger knowing she wouldn't benefit from it at all. While we weren't able to rent from this company and from Liz Kohout and Captain Bob, if they are this caring and compassionate to a total stranger who isn't even renting from them, I am confident that same level of care is evident in her rental properties and shown towards her clients. Our next trip we will seek out a rental property from Florida Keys Vacation Rentals...

Highly Recommend!! We just finished a wonderful family vacation in the 411 Sombrero Beach Dr property. Liz Kohout and Capt. Bob were the perfect hosts-and super responsive to every need . There was 13 in all of us ranging in ages 4 to 82. There was something for everyone. We also rented Captain Bob’s boat and shared fun snorkeling, lobstering and fishing excursions. The kids caught mangrove snapper off the dock in the evening and met the resident manatee and iguana. Trips to Key West the Turtle Rehab Center (make reservations) and Sombrero Beach did not get missed. Bait shops-Publix and Winn Dixie all close by for excellent convenience. Check in and out was seamless! All the rooms were well appointed with all the necessities. The beds were super comfortable and we all slept great!!! (everyone is replacing their mattresses.) LOL The outside tiki hut, boat, outdoor kitchen and the grill were the most used places during the vacation. The kids enjoyed the big pool, little pool and the hot tub. The temp was perfect all vacation long! This is great place for large family/reunions gatherings with plenty of room for everyone. There was plenty of things to do in the area very close by.
