I had visited the Fredericksburg store with my Mom and daughter on our week long stay. The staff at that location were extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I mentioned that I would soon be furnishing a new space and would definitely return. I have traveled many places, and I recognize that they had very reasonable prices on their big ticket items⌠The manager was so kind and not only welcomed me back but also referred me to their larger , Marble Falls store. I wanted to get a peek at their inventory and also had been given a coupon for an extra free pot.( kind of their fun gimmick) It was 5:40pm and closing time was 6pm. I got out of my vehicle and walked to their porch looking around , about to open door and immediately had an older blond lady BUST out the store door with a look of disgust and rudely say â Are you ready to check out?â ( Knowing I had just literally gotten out of my car) This person clearly did not want to risk the chance of staying until 6:01pm. First off, I am not a rude consumer and respect the hours of a business⌠we had driven a long way , and I had plans on spending a lot of money in the store in the very near future and wanted to get a peek at their inventory and also get a souvenir pot for my aunt. This lady was so rude, argued with me about the coupon⌠Came at me like a RABID dog before I EVEN had the chance to open the door of the store. I had my 10 year old daughter with me and my elderly mother⌠I was absolutely appalled and quickly asked my mother just to choose a pot and letâs GO. You know⌠Small Texas towns⌠many of them rely on tourists and people passing through⌠And especially in this day and age and economy I canât believe anyone itâs so well off that they donât need any business!!!! And we had such a nice experience at the other branch in Fredericksburg âŚ. I was really happy to find the âmegaâ store and was excited about doing business with my renovation at this location. ( and DROVE an hour out of the way) This lady has no idea what a good customer service is⌠If a business is going to close at 5:40pm then thatâs what you need to put on your door! I will never forget this experience and I will certainly take my business elsewhereâŚand advise you do the same. When someone is actually trying to support a local business and is there with their family and treated so ugly and...
Read moreI really loved this place initially. I love supporting local small business and this seemed perfect! We had driven all the way dang near San Antonio from Fort hood area to by an RV but had been greatly disappointed by what we were presented with so we left empty handed with a large sum of money not spent for its original purpose so my husband brought me here ti try to cheer me up. We were here 20 minutes and had already chosen about $300 in merch and was STILL shopping (was looking at a $750 fountain and had a couple small trinkets in hand) when one of their employees approached me about not wearing a mask. I will never demonize anyone for wearing a mask but at that point she put me in a very uncomfortable position to either tell her my very personal reason for not wearing a mask so I walked away. State guidelines donât require businesses to question their customers about their medical or other personal reasons for not wearing a mask. Then she added âwe have to wear it all dayâ as if her having to wear it for her job negates my reason for my inability to wear one. I distanced myself from other customers snd stayed away from anyone not in my family unit (husband and 2 kids). If anything the employee came into MY 6â space to tell me to put on a mask. When my buying experience becomes one where I have to relive a nightmare triggered by the suffocation of a mask, Iâm not their kind of customer. Otherwise, it seems like a very lovely place, overpriced but good selection. It you have health issues that prevent you from covering your mouth and nose, you may try going elsewhere or just buy it online (the killer of many small...
Read moreMy husband and I are visiting Marble Falls and came across this pottery store that was open on Sunday. It had so much pottery displayed painted in very bright colors. I believe you could place these pots in your home or display them outside. The work was really beautiful. A lot of Southwest artifacts are also displayed here. Also very large pieces of furniture were on display. Outside a number of displays were set along the walk paths so you could get a feel for integrating different decorating items into your plan. We will definitely go back. I love the rustic lamps made out of deer sheds. I hope theyâre sheds. We bought a beautiful deer antler lamp that was designed by a local artist. He had a number of lamps displayed and they were all so beautiful. You have to buy the lampshade separate so itâs very pricey for the 2 items. We will put it in our lake house. This business was pretty busy when we were there. I personally didnât hear or see anyone having a difficult or contentious experience while we were there. I noticed some on other reviews. The lady that helped us was very professional and knowledgeable about the craftsmanship of our purchase. We really enjoyed our visit. FYI - there are nice clean bathrooms, plenty of toiletries, hand towels, soap and trash receptacles and all the parking and display areas were all clear of trash. Iâm not sure about the negative reviews but while we were there we had a wonderful time. There are many displays outside and more restrooms outside too. There are also a lot of farm animals in pens for the little ones to see. We had a...
