I absolutely love Broadview Farm and Gardens, for several reasons... first, I love their commitment to good farming practices, second they grow amazing produce, it tastes so good you will wonder why you waited so long to try it and third they are an incredibly nice family. I can't say enough about their delicious lettuce, if you have ever bought lettuce at the store that ends up slimy and gross in a few days you need to give that up and buy fresh and local. The lettuce from Broadview Farm and Gardens lasts several weeks and the taste is beyond compare. You also don't want to miss out on strawberries and watermelons when they are in season. When I attend Elgin’s Farmers Market, Broadview Farm and Gardens is typically the first vendor I shop with. My market bag gets filled with all sorts of tasty fruits and vegetables throughout the summer months, as well as eggs from their egg CSA. The eggs are beautiful and delicious!
